We were disappointed with our stay at Anthea Hotel. The staff were always polite and friendly, but the service was poorly organized. In the restaurant, we had to wait a long time just to place our order and receive our drinks, even though there were only a few tables occupied. After waiting around 40–45 minutes, our main courses arrived, but our starter never did. We were told it would be served later, so we cancelled it. Throughout our stay, different waiters kept serving our table, and it seemed that nobody was actually responsible for our order. This made the service feel chaotic, so we decided to have lunch and dinner elsewhere for the rest of our holiday. The air conditioning in our room was also a problem. It was either off or blowing very cold air continuously, making it impossible to keep the room at a comfortable temperature during the night. Before our early departure, we arranged with reception to receive takeaway sandwiches instead of breakfast. We were assured this would be prepared, but when we arrived to leave, nothing had been arranged because the information had not been passed on. I also sent this feedback directly to the hotel before posting this review but unfortunately never received a response. The hotel has potential, but it needs much better organization and communication.

The workers who clean the room return the dirty towels that were previously thrown on the floor as if they were clean, at the reception you can get new clean towels only after a rude conversation. The room was cleaned for the first time only after 6 days of stay. As for the food, every day is the same, the bread is old, at first stale, then we thought it doesn't matter, it happens, tomorrow they returned the same bread that nobody had eaten and it was moldy. The cleaning ladies are not doing their job at all and are incredibly rude. the shower cubicle in the toilet was clogged, the water could not leave

Had a lovely stay up until the hotel refused to give our deposit back after leaving, the room was left spotless however we was told we would receive the deposit back the day after leaving, fast forward two days later we contacted the hotel to confirm when the money would be returned; we was told we had to wait 2 weeks after the date we checked out (mind you we was not told this previously) 2 weeks then goes by we contact the hotel yet again to be told we needed to give a in life card for the refund to even come back into the account (we payed by Apple Pay) this wouldn’t be as much of an issue if we was told the correct information along with the situation being dealt with in a nicer manner. Every person I have spoken too since leaving has been so rude. Don’t stay here if you don’t want to keep you’re 150 deposit and want to be gaslit.

Very disappointed with our stay. We paid extra for two rooms but, after a 13-hour journey, were initially placed in one room and felt our concerns were dismissed by staff. When the issue was corrected, the replacement room had a leaking air conditioner that dripped onto the bed. The buffet had very limited choice, food was often cold, and there were flies around the serving area. Housekeeping standards were poor: sheets did not appear to be changed during our six-night stay, fresh towels had to be requested, and cleaners entered our rooms FOUR TIMES despite “Do Not Disturb” signs and our verbal requests for privacy. We were also concerned by the lack of security, as non-guests were able to knock on room doors to promote local venues (strippers fyi…). The hotel is very noisy at night, so it may not suit families or anyone looking for a relaxing break. Overall, the poor service and lack of attention to guest comfort significantly affected our holiday.

Wonderful family stay with exceptional service! We spent a week here with my family and had an amazing time! The hotel is located right in the center, which is very convenient, though it can get a bit noisy at times because of the central location. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety. However, the real strength of this hotel is its staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Fotis and Rozee, who went above and beyond to make our holiday special! Thank you for everything!
