1. GENERAL  

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE.   By using this website, you signify your acceptance of these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms of use, please do not use this website. Bookcyprus.com reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time. Please check these terms periodically for changes.Your continued use of Bookcyprus.com following the posting of changes to these terms will mean your acceptance of these changes. A contract concluded on this website will be valid only if the other contracting Party is an adult natural person, having the right to establish a contractual relation, or a registered legal entity having the right to establish a contractual relation as a legal entity.

By using this website, the user accepts financial responsibility for all uses of this website by her/himself and/or other persons using it under her/his responsibility.   These Terms and Conditions provide for the terms of the contractual relation between Bookcyprus.com acting as a broker for various suppliers and a client and/or customer using this website and/or purchasing services through it (hereinafter referred to as "the client" or "the customer"). Bookcyprus.com provides accommodation and transport from a wide range of accommodation providers and carrier airlines, ships and car rental companies. The provision of such travel arrangements will be subject to the terms of each supplier as part of the conditions of contract with us (either as agent for the supplier or as part of our holiday package. All of the suppliers’ terms and conditions cannot be listed here but the client / customer must read them carefully. The main companies that we do business with are listed below but due to the wide range of travel products that we provide, as agent as well as part of our holiday packages, there are many more. The conditions of carriage and/or contract for these suppliers may be found on their own web sites. If it is not possible to find these conditions of carriage and/or contract, contact should be taken with us.

 2. RATES 

All rates are in the currency specified each time. The rates are subject to changes due to currency fluctuations, the increase of VAT or of any other taxes. Any such increase/decrease will automatically affect the published rates. The valid rates for any service booked are as published on the Bookcyprus.com website at the time of reservation. 

 2.1 RATES EXCEPT UK POUNDS, US DOLLARS & SWISS FRANCS  

All currency rates except UK Pounds, US Dollars & Swiss Francs are provided for convenience purposes only. Bookings for such listings shall be accepted in Euro currency only and payment for such bookings shall accordingly be processed and cleared in Euro currency. www.bookcyprus.com will not be liable for any fees or charges which may occur by the cardholder's issuer.
 
 2.2 NON-REFUNDABLE RATES 

Sometimes some rooms may appear to be non-refundable. These rooms carry special restrictions and conditions. Please read the rate rules below for any such rooms prior to making your reservation.
 
  •  ADVANCED PURCHASE / NON-REFUNDABLE RATES.  Rules & Restrictions on payments for bookings made via Bookcyprus.com for Advance Purchase / Non-Refundable rates are not refundable and bookings may not be modified. Rooms & Rates are subject to availability at participating hotels. 
  •  ADVANCED PURCHASE / NON-REFUNDABLE RATES.  Full payment in advance required. The credit card will be charged instantly for the full duration of stay even if the booking is not used. No restrictions to the online purchase date and subject to hotel availability at the time of booking. The Advance - - Purchase / Non-Refundable Rate discounts vary for each hotel. Reservations made with non refundable rates cannot be changed, refunded, partially refunded, exchanged, cancelled or transferred to another party. No refunds for non-arrival on check-in date.
  •  Modification/Cancellation of Reservation:  It is not permitted to modify a Non Refundable Rate reservation. In the event that a Non Refundable Reservation needs to be cancelled the full amount paid will be retained as cancellation fee and no refund or partial refund will be due.
Charges cannot be applied to other stays, services or merchandise. No rates or hotel availability are guaranteed until full payment is received. Bookcyprus.com reserves the right to cancel a reservation without notice if we become aware of, or are notified of, any fraud or illegal activity associated with the payment for the reservation.   

3. PAYMENT TERMS 

Payments for the services chosen and agreed on must be done as displayed within this website and/or system. By clicking on the "Book now" button after entering your credit card number you are deemed to be submitting a binding offer to the Company.No contractual or other obligations will be created for Bookcyprus.com, unless payment in full is received by Bookcyprus.com for all the services to be provided to the customer/ client and agreed on through this website. Bookcyprus.com reserves the right to enable/disable its prepayment option in this web site. The percentage quote of prepayment will be shown on this web site or during the payment process of the Partner Company and/or customer. Bookcyprus.com reserves the right to increase/decrease the prepayment percentage quote at any time. 




4. CANCELLATION 

By making a reservation with Bookcyprus.com you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy. The general cancellation and no-show policy of each service is made available on our website during the reservation procedure and varies according to the selected service and/or date. Please note that certain rates or special offers are not eligible for cancellation or change. Please check the room details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation. Any lesser charges are subject to the discretion of Bookcyprus.com, and after discussion with the affected partner.   In the event of a confirmed booking being unavailable, Bookcyprus.com will endeavor to offer an alternative solution of the same or higher standard in same location/area or manner. In the event where this is not possible Bookcyprus.com may offer a full refund if the alternative solution is not preferred. Bookcyprus.com will also endeavor to contact the Partner prior to the client’s departure and advise him/her of this unavailability. In the case where this is not possible Bookcyprus.com will endeavor to ensure that the relevant supplier looks after any changes as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Bookcyprus.com reserves the right to cancel a reservation in the event of system error, system malfunctions and/or price calculation error.

 

4.1 CREDIT NOTE KEY INFORMATION IN CASE OF CANCELLATION

In the event that a client wishes to cancel a reservation, Bookcyprus.com has the right to issue a Credit Note (after deducting any cancellation or administration fees).  The credit due will appear in the client's online account for future use.  In such cases a refund to the client's credit card will not be processed. If you are entitled to a Credit Note you will be notified via email where the credit will be available for your use once you log in to your online account. In the event that the credit voucher is not used within the given period and a refund is due, Bookcyprus.com will deduct the administration fee relative to the value of the credit voucher.
 

5. PAY LATER OPTION 

Credit Card
If applicable and available, certain accommodation providers offer the opportunity for reservations to be paid (wholly or partly and as required under the payment policy of the accommodation) to the accommodation provider during the reservation process by means of secure online payment (all to the extent offered and supported by your bank). Payment is safely processed from your credit/debit card or bank account to the bank account of the accommodation provider through a third party payment processor.

For certain rates or special offers, please note that your credit card may be pre-authorized or charged (sometimes without any option for refund) upon reservation and confirmation of the booking. Please check the room details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation.

In the event of credit card fraud or unauthorized use of your credit card by third parties, most banks and credit card companies bear the risk and cover all the charges resulting from such fraud or misuse, which may sometimes be subject to a deductible (usually set at EUR 50 (or the equivalent in your local currency)).

Cancellation
By making a reservation with an accommodation provider, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy of that accommodation provider, and to any additional (delivery) terms and conditions of the accommodation provider that may apply to your reservation or during your stay, including for services rendered and/or products offered by the accommodation provider (the delivery terms and conditions of an accommodation provider can be obtained with the relevant accommodation provider). The general cancellation and no-show policy of each accommodation provider is made available on our website on the accommodation information pages, during the reservation procedure and in the confirmation email. Please note that certain rates or special offers are not eligible for cancellation or change. Please check the room details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation. Please note that a reservation which requires down payment or (wholly or partly) prepayment may be cancelled (without a prior notice of default or warning) insofar the relevant (remaining) amount(s) cannot be collected in full on the relevant payment date in accordance with the relevant payment policy of the accommodation and the reservation. Late payment, wrong bank, debit or credit card details, invalid credit/debit cards or insufficient funds are for your own risk and account and you shall not be entitled to any refund of any (non-refundable) prepaid amount unless the accommodation agrees or allows otherwise under its (pre)payment and cancellation policy.

If you wish to review, adjust your personal details or cancel your reservation, please visit the "My Reservation" section from the settings and follow the instructions therein. Please note that you may be charged for your cancellation in accordance with the accommodation provider's cancellation, (pre)payment and no-show policy or not be entitled to any repayment of any (pre)paid amount. We recommend that you read the cancellation, (pre)payment and no-show policy of the accommodation provider carefully prior to making your reservation and remember to make further payments on time as may be required for the relevant reservation.


6. RESERVATION AMENDMENTS 

Reservation amendments will be charged at 10 Euros per booking or equivalent as per below currency exchange rates:

Please note that the rate our Customer Service Team give to a guest for a requested amendment is subject to change and will be re-confirmed at the time of amendment. 

7. The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018
 
You benefit from all EU rights applying to packages. Bookcyprus.com will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole. Additionally, as required by European Union law, Bookcyprus.com has protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes insolvent. Please read below more information on key rights under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.  
 
1) Travellers will receive all essential information about the package before concluding the package travel contract.
2) There is always at least one trader who is liable for the proper performance of all the travel services included in the contract.
3) Travellers are given an emergency number or details of a contact point where they can get in touch with the organiser or travel agent.
4) Travellers may transfer the package to another person, on reasonable notice and possibly subject to additional costs.
5) The price of the package may only be increased if specific costs rise (for instance, fuel prices) and if expressly provided for in the contract, and in any event not later than 20 days before the start of the package. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the price of the package, the traveller may terminate the contract. If the organiser reserves the right to a price increase, the traveller has a right to a price reduction if there is a decrease in the relevant costs.
6) Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee and get a full refund of any payments if any of the essential elements of the package, other than the price, are changed significantly. If before the start of the package, the trader responsible for the package cancels the package, travellers are entitled to a refund and compensation where appropriate.
7) Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee before the start of the package in the event of exceptional circumstances, for instance if there are serious security problems at the destination which are likely to affect the package.
8) Additionally, travellers may at any time before the start of the package terminate the contract in return for an appropriate and justifiable termination fee.
9) If, after the start of the package, significant elements of the package cannot be provided as agreed, suitable alternative arrangements will have to be offered to the traveller at no extra cost. Travellers may terminate the contract without paying any termination fee, where services are not performed in accordance with the contract and this substantially affects the performance of the package and the organiser fails to remedy the problem.
10) Travellers are also entitled to a price reduction or compensation for damages where the travel services are not performed or are improperly performed.
11) The organiser has to provide assistance if the traveller is in difficulty.
12) If the organiser or the retailer becomes insolvent, payments will be refunded. If the organiser or, where applicable, the retailer becomes insolvent after the start of the package and if transport is included in the package, repatriation of the travellers is secured.

8. COMPLAINTS 

Should the customer have reason to make a complaint, the complaint must be made and a remedy requested immediately on location to the office referred to in the confirmation. The right to raise claims is invalidated if a participant omits to notify a defect on location.


9. TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICES  

9.1. FLIGHTS  

All contracts for flights concluded through Bookcyprus.com are governed by Cyprus Law, E.U. Regulation 261/2004 of 11 February 2004, and the Rules set out by the International Air Transport Association as revised from time to time Clients/ passengers on a journey involving an ultimate destination or a stop in a country other than the country of origin or other than a E.U. Member- State, are advised that the provisions of a treaty known as the Warsaw Convention of 1929 may be applicable to the entire journey, including any portion entirely within the country of origin or destination. The Courts of the Republic of Cyprus have absolute jurisdiction for all contracts concluded hereby. All provisions provided in the terms and conditions 1-26 apply to the bookings of flights as well except when in conflict with the provisions of the present section 10.  

Definitions 

Air Carrier: air transport undertaking with a valid operating licence.  Operating Air Carrier: air carrier that performs or intends to perform a flight under a contract with a passenger or on behalf of another person, legal or natural, having a contract with that passenger.  Package: pre arranged combination of not fewer than two of the following when sold or offered for sale and when the service covers a period of more than 24 hours or includes overnight accommodation: (transport, accommodation, and other tourist services not ancillary to the former two). Denied Boarding: means a refusal to carry passengers on a flight, although they have presented themselves for boarding except where there are reasonable grounds to deny them boarding, such as reasons of health, safety or security, or inadequate travel documentation.  Cancellation: means the non-operation of a flight which was previously planned and on which at least one place was reserved.

Tickets 

Ticket is a valid document giving entitlement to transport, or something equivalent in paperless form, including electronic form (E-Ticket), issued or authorized by the air carrier or its authorized agent.  Validity: Tickets as a general rule are valid for one year, starting from the date issued, except when otherwise provided expressly in the tickets or in Air Carrier’s tariffs, conditions of carriage, or any relevant regulations. Name changes: Not permitted Other changes: Whether changes or cancellations can be made depends on the fare conditions of the specific ticket bought. Please contact us at least 3 working days prior to your departure date and before attempting to make any changes or cancellations. An administration fee of EUR 20 per ticket will apply to this service in addition to any charges applied by the airline. Courier delivery/ postal charge may apply. Air Carriers reserve the right to modify the flight schedule at any time prior to departure. Name of the Air Carrier  The Air Carrier’s full name and its abbreviation must appear in Air Carrier's tariffs, conditions of carriage, regulations or timetables. The Air Carrier's name may not appear in full on the ticket, but it must be abbreviated. Address of the Air Carrier on the Ticket The address of the Air Carrier shall be deemed to be the airport of departure as indicated next to the first abbreviation of carrier's name in the ticket. The agreed stopping places are those places indicated in this ticket or as indicated in carrier's timetables as scheduled stopping places on the passenger's route. Carriage to be performed hereunder by several successive carriers shall be considered as a single operation.  

Limitation of baggage Liability 

Liability for delay, loss or damage to baggage shall be borne entirely by the Air Carrier and is limited unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges are paid. For specific types of articles excess valuation may be declared in cooperation with the Air-Carrier. Some Air Carriers exclude liability for fragile, valuable or perishable articles. In the case of a damaged baggage and within a period of 7 days from the day of the receipt of the baggage, the Client-Passenger must file his/her complaint in writing and must be addressed to the Air Carrier. In case of delay of baggage, the complaint must be made within 21 days from date the baggage was delivered.
 
 
9.2 TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR VILLAS 

Type of accommodation

Please note that the property you are renting may not be an official tourist structure, such as a hotel, residences etc, but a private dwelling. Being such, there is no standard of categories that are internationally recognized; indeed it reflects the architectures and furnishings, the local traditions and the personal taste of the owner. This is precisely the kind of holiday that we offer: the chance to partake in the culture of the area chosen, living for a few days or weeks in the same surrounding as an inhabitant would. We cannot however exclude the possibility that these differences can sometimes result in minor inconveniences due to the special nature of its architecture and of traditions in the area, but which cannot be perceived as complaints. In order to minimize this factor, of course we use certain minimum standards for all the properties we have.  

License agreement for Aeolos Villas Cyprus 

Please note that by renting a villa from Aeolos Villas Cyprus, you agree to the following terms & conditions:
 
  • Legal status of the license: By renting these premises you, our guest, are entering into a licensing agreement, the purpose of which is also to protect your interests and to make your holiday as comfortable as possible.
  • Entering this license always concerns a temporary and holiday residence. The premises may not be used as a principal, or even secondary, residence and the guest may not carry on any commercial, craft or professional activity there. Consequently, this license shall be governed by the provisions of as well as by the terms and conditions provided for in these presents.
  • Duration: The license will come to an end and on expiry of the period laid out in the reservation as requested and confirmed by Aeolos Villas Cyprus-who represents the owner of the premises- without any agreement to give notice. The license may not be extended without the prior written agreement by the owner and his representatives: Aeolos Villas Cyprus.
  • Number and minimum age of occupants: The premises covered by this license may, not be occupied by a number of persons greater than that given in the reservation also for your own comfort, because we will not prepare the villa for a greater number. Please note that unfortunately we will not accept any non accompanied tenants under the age of 18 years of age.
  • Insurance: We recommend our guests to be insured by a well known insurance company against risks of theft, fire, and water damage, both of his/her own licensing risks and for the property licensed, as well as for claims by neighbors, and to be kindly shown when requested by the owner. Consequently, the owner declines all liability for claims that it’s insurance may take against the guest in the event of a loss. Under no circumstances shall Aeolos Villas Cyprus be held liable if our guests are not insured.
  • Main obligations of the Guest: 1: Only occupy the premises as a holiday residence. 2: To kindly follow all residential rules & regulations. 3: Not to sub license the premises to third parties. 4: not to store any furnishings there with the exception of your small personal items. 5: Not to modify the layout of the property’s furnishings. 6: Although we respect the rights of animals and pets please do not bring any domestic animals without the owner’s consent. 7: During the license period, to allow for any work that needs to be carried out also for your benefit. 8: To take reasonable care of the premises and to return them in a good state of cleanliness-in case the apartment is not returned in such state, then unfortunately the guest may be billed 25 Euros for any additional hour of cleaning that needs to be done, because we, in our turn, will pay for these additional charges 9: To immediately inform the owner in case of an accident or deterioration so that we take all steps to re establish your comfort and enjoyment. 10: To make sure that the arrival and departure times are known by the owner as informed in the reservation and in accordance to terms and conditions given.
  • The owner’s main obligations are: 1: To give access to the licensed and reserved premises as agreed in good working condition. 2: To ensure the guest enjoys the premises licensed. 3: To maintain the premises in a condition to be used as intended. 4: At all times, keep keys of the premises and have access to the premises in order to improve or inspect levels of cleanliness and comfort as per our high standards. 5: To provide or have visible access to the relevant guest information. 
  • Termination clause: In the case of non- payment of the license fee on the dates agreed, or the cost of consumption is greater than normal, or in the case of breach of any of mentioned obligations provided in clause e, the owner may unfortunately demand an immediate termination of this agreement.
Payments and deposits 

In order to confirm your stay, a deposit of 10% of the full payment (or full payment if bookings within 30 days of arrival at the villa) must be paid at the time of booking. The deposit is unfortunately non refundable in the event of failure to pay on time.  

Your Licensing agreement 

A binding agreement (see above section concerning licensing agreement) between us comes into existence when you pay the deposit in order to ensure also the right to your holiday. If you cancel after paying the deposit our normal cancellation charges may apply.  

Security Deposit  

Guests will be required to pay a security deposit of between 200.00 to 500.00 euro's upon arrival, according to the villa or apartment classification booked. This security deposit is to cover any costs due to any damage(s) by yourself or any member of your party. If no deductions are required, a full refund will be made upon departure from the property. Should the security deposit not be sufficient to cover any damage(s) or service charges incurred by yourself and/or your party, you will be responsible for the extra payment immediately and upon request by the owner's representative.  

Cancellation Policy for Villas 

Should you need to cancel your stay after the contract has begun, please immediately advise us by email or fax. Your notice of cancellation will be effective when it is received only in writing. As we incur costs from the time your bookings is confirmed and we may be unable to resell your period of stay, the following cancellation charges may be payable. Where the cancellation charge is shown as a percentage, this is calculated on the basis of the total cost of the booking excluding amendment charges. Amendment charges are not refundable in the event of cancellation.

Depending on the reason of cancellation, you may be able to reclaim these charges (less any excess) under the terms of any insurance policy you may have. Claims must be made directly to the Insurance Company.  

Arrival & Departure times from the Villa 

Our Guests may normally take possession from 4 pm on the day of arrival and are expected to vacate the property by 11 am on the morning of departure. This allows time for cleaning and making the villa ready for our next arriving guests. Any changes in arrival and departure times are subject to availability and request upon the actual arrival/departure days.  

The cost of your stay 

We reserve the right to lower or increase the prices of accommodation at any time. The price of your stay will be confirmed at the time of booking, subject to the correction of errors. We kindly reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices. We will do so as soon as we become aware of the error.

Changes made by you regarding your reservation 

Should you wish to make any changes to your confirmed booking, please notify us by mail as soon as possible. Whilst we will try to help, we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet any such requests. Where we can, an amendment - fee may be payable together with any costs incurred by ourselves.  

Building Works 

From time to time, building work and its associated noise is unavoidable. We do not control such work, and we do not receive advance notice of when it will begin. Where we are aware of such building work, we will let you know as soon as possible if we think that relevant works will affect the quality of your holiday.  

Complaints 

Should you have a problem on your holiday, please report it to our villa representative the soonest possible and no longer than 24 hours from the time of its occurrence. Any verbal notification must be confirmed in writing as soon as possible. Our duty is to investigate and give the best possible solution for you.  

Special needs and requirements 

Our Villas unfortunately may not be ideally suited for clients with disabilities, although some are more suitable than others. If you have a disability and need specific answers to specific questions, then it would be our pleasure to have them in writing, so that we include them on your final reservation. We are unable to give special facilities without knowing your requirements.


Electricity consumption & the environment 

Electricity consumption is included in your price. However, if the demand is higher than expected, due to excessive use of electrical appliances such as air conditioners, we may ask for additional charges. Our environmental policy depicts that while not in the premises all electrical usable appliances must be shut off in order to conserve energy.

Inventory of household items 

All items exceeding the amount of Euro 250.00 are listed and priced according to current market prices and an inventory may be conveniently placed in your Villa. In case of any damage, then a charge may incur according to these prices.  

Public Liability Clause 

Bookcyprus.com accepts no liability for any injuries/losses incurred by the tenants and/or visitors during their stay in the property nor loss or damage to any luggage and/or personal belongings. Tenants are advised to take out their own personal insurance at the time of booking.

9.3 TRAVEL INSURANCE 

Bookcyprus.com strongly advises that you take out a policy of insurance together with your flight reservation in order to cover you and your party against the cost of medical expenses; in the event of accident or illness; loss of baggage and money; and other expenses. Please check it carefully to ensure that all the details are correct. Failure to disclose relevant information will affect your insurance. Please note that the sale of travel insurance on the Bookcyprus.com website is administered by our partner Mondial Assistance (Greece) Limited, a member of the Mondial Assistance Group. The contract is subject to terms and conditions, which are accessible during the booking process. You can contact Mondial Asstistance directly regarding your travel insurance on the contact details mentioned on your Policy document issued and send by email to you after you complete your reservation.

Final travel arrangements 

Please ensure that all your travel, passport, visa (if required) and insurance documents are in order and that you have a copy of your Insurance Policy in case you needed.  

Liability 

In case of dates changes of your journey you have to contact directly with the Travel Insurance company and request change of your Travel Insurance contract and policy. Bookcyprus.com is not responsible for the availability, protection policy of personal information, page content, or any damage caused by the usage 3 party pages sites as you have access to those pages with your own responsibility. The supplier providing travel insurance on this website is independent contractor and not agent or employee of Bookcyprus.com. Bookcyprus.com is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches or negligence of any such suppliers or for any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting there from. Bookcyprus.com has no liability and will make no refund in the event of any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, Force Majeure or other causes beyond its direct control, and it has no responsibility for any additional expense, omissions, delays, re-routing or acts of any government or authority.

9.4 EUROPCAR RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Driver Eligibility
All drivers must be over 25 years of age and have held a full driving license for at least 1 year. Drivers aged between 21 and 25 years old to drive a rental car PROVIDED that they have held a full driving license for a minimum of 3 years. Such drivers are required to pay an additional charge of €10.00 per rental day. Maximum driving age is generally 78 years old. Such drivers are required to pay an additional charge of €10.00 per rental day. The station staff will decide if a driver is of sufficient health to be in control of a motor vehicle, and reserve the right to refuse any rental on the grounds of ill health. In case one person does not feel like doing all the driving, the provision to add up to two additional drivers on a rental agreement is possible.  An additional charge of €7.00 per rental day, per additional driver. Note - all drivers must meet the criteria described above for driver eligibility. All drivers, whether Main or Additional, regardless of age, are required to show their driving license to one of the staff before taking delivery of their car.
 
2. Insurance Cover
The daily rental price shown includes the standard insurance, as required by law, and also Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) which provides cover against repair costs relating to the vehicle in the event of any damage occurring. The hirer only pays the policy excess of €900 to €2500 (Dependant on group and model have taken). This cover excludes damage to tires, the windscreen or the oil-sump, for which the hirer remains responsible at all times. This level of insurance cover is standard with every rental and is sufficient for a hirer to legally drive the vehicle in Cyprus. Drivers have the option to increase their level of insurance cover if they so choose. Wheels and Windscreen Insurance Waiver (WWI) is offered for €6.00- €8.00 depending on car group per rental day, which increases the cover to include all parts of the vehicle, including tires, windscreen, and oil-sump. The policy excess still applies. This additional insurance must be selected at the start of the rental, and payment is taken locally prior to delivery of the vehicle. Alternatively, a number of protection packages are available to limit or to ZERO the liability. Drivers may choose the fully comprehensive insurance policy, known as Full Protection (SEDW). For €12.00 - €16.00 depending on car group per day, this option includes all the cover provided by WWI and additionally reduces the policy excess to € ZERO. Also included is of personal accident insurance (excluding Driver), underwritten by the Cyprus Hire Risk Pool. All additional insurances or protection packages must be selected at the start of the rental.
 
3. Insurance Limitations
Insurance limitations are clearly shown on the reverse of every rental contract issued. No insurance cover whatsoever is provided if a vehicle is driven into the occupied Northern Area of the island, if a vehicle is driven on an unsurfaced road, or if there is negligence on the part of the driver. Such negligence includes (but is not limited to) driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failing to adhere to road traffic regulations, failure to report an accident to the police, or intentionally trying to damage the vehicle. In any of these cases, the driver becomes responsible for the market value of our vehicle as well as recovery costs and any costs relating to third-party claims.
 
4. Fuel
All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of fuel. This is not included in the rental cost and must be paid for in advance at the start of the rental (charged at an average price per litre) and the car is returned without re-fuelling at the end of the rental. NOTE: Unused fuel is not refundable. The price of a full tank of fuel varies according to Group and engine size. Petrol prices can fluctuate daily, but the price will always be based on the average price per litre charged at filling stations across the island.
 
5. Deliveries and Collections
Delivery can be made to any hotel in Cyprus or to one of the rental offices, a fixed charge of €20.00 (within city limits) Deliveries are available between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00. Outside these hours, deliveries can only be made to one of the airport branches and an Out Of Hour's supplement of €20.00 will apply. Delivery locations outside if city limits of the nearest Europcar office are available (e.g. deliveries to Troodos region). In such cases, an Out Of Limits supplement of €20.00 will apply. At the end of the rental, vehicles should be returned to the original delivery place so that collection can be made. If the return location is different from the delivery location, a One Way supplement of €35.00 will apply.
 
6. Extra Accessories
For the benefit of families with young children, child-seats upon request can be supplied with the cars. There are two types of child restraints available seats (for infants 6 - 36 months old) and booster seats (for children 3 - 7 years old). Child seats must be requested at the time of booking. Each seat costs €9.00 per rental day, maximum per rental €63.00. Payment is collected locally prior to delivery of the vehicle. Please note that a maximum of 2 child seats can be fitted into any vehicle.  Child seats for infants under 6 months old are NOT supplied.  Replacement for car seats will be charged at €70.00.  GPS Navigator is not included in the rental price and costs €10.00 per day, maximum per rental €70.00. Replacement for GPS will be charged at €125.00. Security deposits are mandatory for all vehicles. Upon collection, you must present a valid credit card (in the name of the main driver) to enable a security deposit of minimum €300.00/ and or CDW excess to be preauthorized.
 
7. Payment / Security Deposits
All rental charges are payable in advance. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. One of the staff members will collect any additional supplements to the normal rental price as indicated above, prior to delivery of the rental vehicle. All customers will receive a rental contract showing a detailed breakdown of all charges. Dinners Card is not accepted.
 
8. Traffic Fines
Drivers remain responsible for any parking or speeding fines they may incur whilst driving one of the vehicles. Payment should be made to the local relevant authorities prior to leaving the island. Unpaid fines can be pursued overseas by Cypriot authorities and may incur further penalties for the delay, plus a local administration charge from the car hire supplier of €30.00 per penalty.
 
9. Accidents
In the event of an accident, drivers must notify the car hire supplier the same moment of the incident taking place. A 24-hour emergency line is printed on the top of every rental contract and on the car key ring itself, rental stations during working hours may assist with accident reporting. Please note that failure to follow these instructions may invalidate any / all insurance.
 
10. Cancellations / Early Returns
No refunds can be made locally for rentals ended early, late collections, for no-shows or for cancellations made after the rental start date. Car rental Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 18:00.

9.5 SIXT CAR HIRE RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

General Rental Information
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a valid driving license. Driving license printed with non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic etc.) must be complemented by an International driving license. The International driving license is only valid for rental of a car if accompanied by the original country license. It is required to show a valid ID card or passport at time of pick up.

No-show
In the event that the booked vehicle is not collected at all or not collected at the agreed time, the rental charge already paid shall be withheld in full.

Age Restrictions
Minimum age in Cyprus is 21 years and the driver has to be in possession of a valid driving licence for at least 3 years. Maximum age in Cyprus is 80 years. A Surcharge of EUR 5.75 per day applies for drivers between 21 and 24 years of age (young driver), and 71 and over (senior driver), payable locally.

Conditions of Payment
Credit cards from internationally recognized credit card companies are accepted - such as American Express, Eurocard/MasterCard, Visa and Diners Club.  Prepaid cards or debit cards (VISA Electron) are not accepted.

General
An advance charge approval will be obtained at the time of car pick up for the chosen means of payment as a security. The exact deposit is determined on collection since the amount is dependent on the vehicle.

General Insurance Conditions
None of the insurance options offered cover the use of the car in the North of Cyprus, underbody damage and damage resulting from such underbody damage, loss or damage of keys.

Third Party Insurance (TI)
Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability. Excluded from the insurance is the use of the vehicle for the transport of dangerous goods. All insurance cover as part of the rental contract will become void, in particular, if an unauthorized driver has used the vehicle or if the driver of the vehicle does not possess the required driving license at the time of the event giving rise to claim.

Loss Damage Waiver (CDW)
Loss Damage Waiver removes the driver’s responsibility to a part of the vehicle in case of damage or theft. Customer is only responsible for the following amounts:

Road Side Assistance
Road assistance fee covers assistance in cases, when a breakdown or damage results from driver’s improper use. This can be combined with all types of coverage. This would cover i.e. Roadside tyre change, Battery start help, Delivery of spare key in case of loss or damage (this does not cover the cost of the replacement key). Customers can purchase Road Assistance for a fee of EUR 3.00 per day with a maximum EUR 48 per month, payable locally.

Delivery & Collection

During Opening Hours
Delivery/Collection Service is on request to hotels. NO deliveries can be made to private addresses. Delivery/Collection Service to/from hotels only within 10 km from the local office is free of charge. All others EUR 20.00 each way, payable locally. 

Out of Hours
A surcharge of EUR 20.00 applies for all bookings/rentals out of hours. At the airports between the hours 21:30 – 07:30 a surcharge of EUR 12.00 is charged, payable locally.

One-Way Rentals

National
For One-Way Rentals within Sixt locations in Cyprus a charge of EUR 25.00 applies payable locally.
International
International One-Way Rentals are not allowed.
 
Cross Border Rentals & Territorial Restrictions
Cross Border Rentals are not allowed. Cross Border Rentals to Northern Cyprus are not allowed. Off road use is not insured by any of the insurances offered. In case of offence against Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions, all insurances lose their validity.

Premium Location Fee
For Cyprus, Premium Location fee occurs for rentals at airport stations. Premium Location fee is EUR 20.00 payable locally.

The VAT rate for Cyprus is at 19%. All rates are inclusive of VAT. All above prices are inclusive of VAT.

10. RESTRICTION OF LIABILITY 

Any exclusion or limitation of liability of Air Carrier shall apply to and shall cover all agents servants and representatives of the Air Carrier and any person whose aircraft is used by the Air Carrier for carriage and its agents, servants and representatives. Bookcyprus.com cannot be responsible for delays, accidents, losses, changes of schedules, damages, etc, that may occur in any of its suppliers' services. Bookcyprus.com will not be liable for any damages or injury caused by, including but not limited to, any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation of transmission, computer virus, or line failure.   Bookcyprus.com will not be liable for any damages or injury, including but not limited to, special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials in this website, even if there is negligence, or if Bookcyprus.com or an authorized Bookcyprus.com representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or both. 17.RESTRICTIONS & PROHIBITIONS ON IMPORTATION & ON EXPORTATION
 
According to the Law, the importation and exportation of certain goods is prohibited or restricted. Restrictions usually refer to the need for securing the authority or inspection from the appropriate Government Department. The aim of prohibitions and restrictions is the protection of society and the perpetuation of a safe environment. More specifically, such prohibitions and restrictions are essential for the safeguard of social ethics, order and security, protection of public health or the health of animals or the protection of plant-life, the protection of industrial and commercial property, archaeological treasures, cultural artefacts and others.
 
Some examples of prohibitions that apply on importation:
Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and other controlled pharmaceuticals; obscene matters and objects, such as videocassettes, DVD’s, films, books, magazines etc.; flick knives and daggers; counterfeit and pirated goods; nuclear, chemical, toxic, biological weapons and similar substances; goods used for illegal hunting of game; counterfeit bank notes.
 
Some examples of restrictions on exportation:
 
  • Antiquities (including items of cultural heritage, e.g. old earthen jars) 
  • Materials and equipment for the production of weapons of mass destruction and similar weapons (nuclear, biological, chemical)       
  • Wild fauna and flora, endangered by extinction and products theirof (Washington Convention - CITES), e.g. animals, birds, fowls, lizards, cactus, hides, ivory, etc). In order to export those special licenses are needed.

18. AREA OF JURISDICTION-GOVERNING LAW 

These terms and conditions are subject to the Laws of the Republic of Cyprus and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus.

19. FORCE MAJEURE 

If as a consequence of Force Majeure, Bookcyprus.com is obliged to curtail, Alter or cancel a booking and/or any services agreed, the partner and/or client/customer shall not be entitled to claim compensation and/or refund for any loss arising as a consequence of the said curtailment, alteration or cancellation. The term “Force Majeure” includes but is not limited to acts of God, natural disaster, fire and any other destruction of any accommodation booked, riots, acts of civil or international war, natural disasters, fires, exercise of municipal, legislative, military or other authority, strikes, industrial action, or any other reason beyond the control of Bookcyprus.com.

20. AMENDMENT TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

Bookcyprus.com reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. This Agreement cannot otherwise be altered without prior consultation and agreement with Bookcyprus.com. 

21. ENTIRE AGREEMENT 

These Terms and Conditions contain the entire agreement between Bookcyprus.com and the Client and supersedes any prior understandings or agreements (whether oral or written) regarding the subject matter and may not be amended or modified unless expressly agreed by Bookcyprus.com in writing. 

22. SYSTEM INTEGRITY 

The usage of any device, routine, or software which inhibits or interferes with the running of the Bookcyprus.com website or any booking concluded upon it is strictly prohibited. Any action which creates a load on Bookcyprus.com or infrastructure which may be considered unreasonable or disproportionate is strictly prohibited.

23. NO GUARANTEE OF CONTINUOUS ACCESS TO THIS WEBSITE
