Heavy rain has arrived.
Heavy rain has arrived in Cyprus, so much in the last few days that water intake into dams has reached record levels over the last few days, according to the Minister of Agriculture. In Paphos alone a total of 4.5 million cubic meters of water flowed into dams. Commenting on the recent downpours, the minister said the island wide dam water intake had exceeded 8 million cubic meters in the last 24 hours. The minister could not confirm that the recent surge of water would mean fewer cutbacks in the near future but said things were looking positive.
