Don't expect friendly staff. In our five night stay only twice did a member of staff bother to say hello. Bar staff more interested in talking to each other rather than serving customers. Food was ok at best. Hotel is very tired looking but the pool was ok. I'd advise getting a room safe and don't leave out any important medication.

Don’t get fooled by the lied reviews and touched up photos!
Where do I get started about this hotel?!?!
The worst thing about it -absolutely shocking customer service from receptionist Georgina . Have never met most rude person in hospitality in my life. Very unhelpful, very rude and miserable-makes you feel so unwelcome. Most surprising thing is - so many hotel clients (what I’ve been told by many of staff members )made lots of complaints about her but she still works there.
The person who hates people and her Job shouldn’t be working with people.
Hotel is very worn out. Everything is very old and barely working. It’s like going back in time by at least 30 years
Rooms not being swept ( not even talking about being moped ) only beds done
Toilets so smelly ( as it’s so old )
Staff miserable and tired ( spending there 7 days ) I don’t think that any of kitchen bar and restaurant had any days off at all
Swimming pool had lots of snapped tiles in it so almost all our family members had bruises and cuts from it
Only one good thing about this hotel - food was actually nice and it was close to the ocean so views were beautiful
Would never ever stay in this hotel again!
Definitely need lots of investment and refurbishment!

If you could give zero stars I would because there is no other way to describe this hotel as it should not be open.
We booked and paid extra for sea view room, which it did have. However, if you have booked this room be aware that you are not in the hotel but a separate block at the bottom of 2 flights of steep stairs and a very steep hill. The "block" is also left to it's on demise and not cleaned or taken care of. We had to ask everyday for new towels and bedding. Our room was also infested with ants and the reception refused to move us. We were clearly the unfortunate guests and outside our apartment door was the storage area for the bins due to the staff being to lazy to take them away. The mattresses are stained and dirty.
The staff are rude and no helpful at all, everything you ask them you get huffed and it's a very big task for them.
The food was completely inedible and not catered to everyone, if you have children you will need to go out of the hotel as there are no options. The food was cold no matter what time you went and very repetitive throughout the day. If you sit by the entrance of the evening restaurant or near the food you will experience many guests expressing their disappointments. You will see more people leaving the hotel at 6pm to go out for dinner than in the restaurant.
Overall the hotel is a complete scam at a 4 star and I would highly recommend that you consider booking somewhere else because there is not one part of this hotel that was enjoyable.

We had a lovely time at the Ascos Coral Beach hotel. The food was OK and sometimes really nice. The hotel manager was very friendly but staff were not. They weren't unfriendly tho. I think it was a language barrier more than anything else as they were from The Congo, all very clean and professional. The cleaners were obviously stressed as we witnessed a few altercations between the cleaning staff, which wasn't nice to see. The evening entertainment was sometimes dia.
The brochure describes the beach as a shingle beach, however it is not. There is no way of getting into the sea easily as its all rocks and boulders. However there are some lovely sandy beaches in walking distance, some quite small and private, you just have to be adventurous. The pool area is nice and the staff wait on you but the bar is next to the pool anyway.
If you like cats, which I do there are lots, some friendly some feral but only the friendly ones come onto the hotel grounds and they are mainly Bengals. I enjoyed saving them some fish from my dinner. We never saw any vermin!!
Overall a pleasant place to stay.

My wife and I have just got back from our stay, it’s was our 4th time staying there, and the change is unbelievable, very poor! We will never return to Ascos again.
We love Cyprus and the Hotel location is great.
Where do I start?
The room, we asked for a double bed, the only thing we requested at booking, but it was 2 singles pushed together which is uncomfortable to say the least.
The bathroom, the shower glass was 1” short of touching/near the bath so the water ran all over the floor, so they sent maintenance up, he left a quarter inch gap, so it still leaked 🤣
The room is very tired as is the whole hotel, dirty and neglected.
The staff used to get great tips because of the smiles and help the gave, now the service is very poor, all different staff, we heard customers asking for a wine list ( yes the waiter said, red rose and white) the understanding of the guests language ( English) was none existent and we could hear the frustration of the couple! Yes we wear abroad, but the staff were not local!
Staff were not interested in helping at all ( apart from reception) they tried to help.
The food was terrible, we were all inclusive but only had 2 breakfasts, thought 1st time might have been a 1 off? 1 evening meal and 1 lunch, ate out all the rest of the time.
The drinks were lacking in content, poorly made and not the usual standard.
We have never had a complaint about this hotel before, but we will never return there again, yes back to Cyprus next year but a different hotel.

Area Information / Places of Interest
Paphos is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns in Cyprus. Wherever one treads in Paphos he comes across its glorious history which dates back thousands of years, when the cult of goddess Aphrodite who emerged from its seas, flourished in this beautiful part of the world attracting many visitors from the island and abroad.
Today Paphos is a small harbour town, but in Hellenistic and Roman times it was the capital of Cyprus. Still under the spell of her Beauty-Goddess, the area retaining her magic, has remained impacted by time. Paphos seduces its visitor with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life.
The legacy from its remarkable history adds up to nothing less than an open museum, so much so that UNESCO simply added the whole town to its World Cultural Heritage List. Among the treasures unearthed, are the remarkable mosaics in the Houses of Dionyssos, Theseus and Aion, beautifully preserved after 16 centuries under the soil. Then there are the mysterious vaults and caves, the Tombs of the Kings, the ancient Odeon Theatre and other places of interest including the various Museums.
