Stayed here in may for a few days, here‘s my pro / con breakdown: + Very friendly and helpful staff, top notch + Location is great, 2min away from the waterfront where you can find shops restaurants bars ice cream places etc. + Big pool + Spacious studio rooms with kitchenette, equipped with everything you need — The sheets had stains and the bathroom was still dirty when I got to my room! That‘s an absolute no go, thank god I always bring my own bedding on vacation — Very thin doors, you can hear any and everything that goes down in the hallway, not great if you‘re a light sleeper — Breakfast is okay, not good not bad

Just returned from a weeks holiday, probably the best hotel food I've ever experienced..... I've had much worse in 5 star places, it was fantastic. The staff were all lovely and very helpful..... Rooms cleaned every day..... Few issues with air con but resolved quickly. The all inclusive option is a must at the price. As is always the case there are a few (personal gripes) negative reviews about the hotel on here but from our experience as a group of 3 couples in our (early 😁) sixties it was great.... We'll be back.

We (me, my husband and 2 children aged 9 and 11) stayed at the Basillica at the start of Aug 23 for 2 weeks self catering. We arrived just before lunch to be told that our 2 bedroom apartment wouldn't be ready until the following day and we have been allocated a 1 bedroom. Had it have been just my husband and I the room would have been adequate. It was slightly dated, had a super small balcony that only had a table and 2 chairs that was pretty cramped as the air con unit was also placed out on the balcony. The room had a fully fitted kitchen hob, oven, fridge/freezer , microwave perfect for 2 people self catering - the sofa had been set up as a bed and there was also a metal chids bed set up in the living area . Lets say it was very cramped for the first evening with 4 of us!! Day 2 - 12pm suitcases packed off we go to our 2 bedroom apartment - the room was again slightly dated, however felt huge compared to our 1 bed. It also had a very small balcony and the aircon didnt work - the kitchen wasnt set up self catering guest more for all inclusive as there was no oven!! Back to reception, i cant fault the receptionist she was kind and listened to our issues, she checked the system and another 2 bedroom apartment which was available but not until tomorrow our day 3. Another night of not unpacking Day 3 the 3rd change was defo worth it, the room was super, just what we thought we booked from day 1 we couldnt fault it. Onced we settled we quickly realised that most people had hadsimilar experiences of room chnages at least fpr the first night!! The swimming pool was lovely, perfect temperature to cool down on a hot day and floats and balls were always available for the kids and adults to use. Laundry room was clean and tidy and the hotel grounds in general are well maintained. Location - perfect location, Sainsburys is a stones throw away and its a short 5 min walk to the port, bars, resturants and shops. We did decide to pay for all inclusive at our hotel for the 2nd week as were found that eating out was costing between €80 - €100 for an eveing meal with drinks and all inclusive worked out around €105 per day for all of us. The hotel food is buffet style and amazing. every day was something different the chefs were very good. Beige food was a hit with the kids. Breakfast had every option, full english breakfast, toast, fruit, continental, cereal, tea, coffee, fruit jucies. Lunch and evening meal always well varied with greek options a plenty and delicious. Overall - I would recommend this hotel, but be prepared that your first night may not be in the room you paid for!!!

Brilliant family holiday for family of 5. Resort brill and just the right amount of guests on site. Food great, bar great & staff brilliant. The bed settee was naff, but a quick ask and fold up bed appeared without issue and just the job. Facilities just the job although communal shower needs a bit of a upgrade- not a issue just bit tired. Gym did the job- pool brilliant and usual lounger towel deployment- but most folk’s sensible and took stuff away once gone after a morning visit. Location is great and central. Road works outside are bit of a mare as seems little regard for health and safety but that’s not the hotels fault and so not fair to note that on the review. All inclusive brilliant and you need drinks in the heat. I cannot comment on food /bar costs as not paid for if you consider another package on site. Variety of food great for all meals. All in all great location and great holiday. Other comments about it being tired etc are unfair as most building in the area are reg same appearance tbh.

Terrible room. 6 in our party so had 2 camp beds n the living space which meant we couldn’t get all 6 people seated together. One bed was broken so we just put the mattresses on the floor. The room was really shabby and not particularly clean. The room looks like a 1980s council flat. Air con didn’t work in one bedroom so we were given a fan which kept tripping the electric. We had to wait 6-8 hours for someone to fix the electrics and we couldn’t use the bathroom (no window and no light) and no aircon in 35c heat. We had cockroaches on 3 days. Apartment was ‘cleaned’ twice in 7 days which involved emptying the bins and replacing towels only. Good location, the road behind the main area with bars and restaurants. Lots of building work(roads, pavements, new apartments) in the area and I imagine it will look nice when it’s all done. Swimming pool was good and lots of sun loungers available.

Paphos (or Pafos) is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus. Wherever one treads in Paphos he comes across its glorious history which dates back thousands of years, when the cult of goddess Aphrodite who emerged from its seas, flourished in this beautiful part of the world attracting many visitors from the island and abroad.

Today Paphos is a small harbour town, but in Hellenistic and Roman times it was the capital of Cyprus. Still under the spell of her Beauty-Goddess, the area retaining her magic, has remained impact by time. Paphos seduces its visitor with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life.

The legacy from its remarkable history adds up to nothing less than an open museum, so much so that UNESCO simply added the whole town its world Cultural Heritage List. Among the treasures unearthed, are the remarkable mosaics in the Houses of Dionyssos, Theseus and Aion, beautifully preserved after 16 centuries under the soil. Then there are the mysterious vaults and caves, the Tombs of the Kings, the ancient Odeon Theatre and other places of interest including the various Museums.
