Information

Appropriately named ‘Clementina’ as it stands amidst the fragrant orange groves, this villa in Paphos exudes peace and serenity as it is situated in the Miliou valley.

The village and the orange groves are perfect for those who want to do little but relax plenty, but if one wants to enjoy the colourful bustle of Paphos and Polis Chrysochou they are both within easy reach. Like all the villas in Paphos, Clementina has been carefully designed for easy living.

The villa has been beautifully constructed in local stone and has attractive design features like the traditional stone archways and an outside wooden staircase leading to the three double bedrooms. Inside, there are rich terracotta tiles, wooden floors and exposed wooden beams on the ceiling. The ambience of the villa Clementina is complemented by its carefully chosen soft furnishings and decorative antiques and because this Holiday Villa in Paphos is perfect for winter breaks too, it has a large open fire.

Points of Interest

Area Description

Miliou is one of the smallest villages in Cyprus and has a population of about 60. It is also one of the greenest villages in the area, thanks to an abundant supply of spring water, surrounded by citrus groves, almond trees and vineyards. In early spring the almond blossom is a spectacular sight and the orange and lemon trees are laden with fruit. With far-reaching mountain and valley views and unspoilt countryside, Miliou is a delightful rural setting, perfect for long walks and for those who love nature and bird watching as the village is renowned as a nesting site for nightingales. The main bird migrations, when a wide variety of species may be seen, take place in spring and autumn. If one is more interested in seeing Mother Nature’s spectacular show of spring flowers, then visit between the beginning of March and the end of May. The aroma of the surrounding pine and lemon groves, brought in by the cool valley breeze, provides relief from the hot Cypriot sun. The nearest supermarket to Miliou is about four kilometres away. The beaches, tavernas, markets and shops of Polis and Latchi are about a 15-minutes drive away, and another few minutes will take one to the edge of the Akamas peninsula. The Troodos Mountains and the Paphos forest (home of the moufflon, the island's indigenous mountain sheep) are close by and Paphos airport is a 45-minute drive away.

Pafos Area Information

Paphos (or Pafos) is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns in Cyprus. Wherever one treads in Paphos he comes across its glorious history which dates back thousands of years, when the cult of goddess Aphrodite who emerged from its seas, flourished in this beautiful part of the world attracting many visitors from the island and abroad.

Today Paphos is a small harbour town, but in Hellenistic and Roman times it was the capital of Cyprus. Still under the spell of her Beauty-Goddess, the area retaining her magic, has remained impacted by time. Paphos seduces its visitor with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life.

The legacy from its remarkable history adds up to nothing less than an open museum, so much so that UNESCO simply added the whole town to its World Cultural Heritage List. Among the treasures unearthed, are the remarkable mosaics in the Houses of Dionyssos, Theseus and Aion, beautifully preserved after 16 centuries under the soil. Then there are the mysterious vaults and caves, the Tombs of the Kings, the ancient Odeon Theatre and other places of interest including the various Museums.
