I booked with Jet2 for a family break with my wife and daughter. Firstly this is the cheapest hotel available in Cyprus on Jet2 and is 3 star so we didn't expect luxury. We were shown to room A101 in the notorious block A (read other reviews) this is the block that contains the 1 bed apartments, the other blocks are studios and private. The room stunk of cigarette smoke and the bathroom was dirty however we opened the windows and requested the bathroom to be cleaned and headed out to dinner. We arrived back around 10, went to bed and discovered the sheets covered in cigarette burns. At 11:30 booming bass from the adjacent nightclub started and didnt stop until 5:30 - this is not bar noise, the adjacent Club Rainbow nightclub's basement extends under block A and the bass physically shakes the room making sleep impossible, my daughter thought it was someone drilling the walls! I cannot emphasise enough how loud and unbearable this was. The next morning after no sleep i requested a room change but was told that no other 1 bed apartments were available and we could only move to a studio which was not appropriate for our family. I contacted Jet2 and requested a hotel change and was told this would take 24 hours so we needed to stay in Alecos one more night, this was impossible so i booked one night out of my own pocket in the hotel we were due to move to the following day, we moved to Paphos Gardens and had a wonderful next 6 days in Paphos. I have since been fully refunded by Jet2 for the accommodation and i have been told that the hotel is under urgent review due to mine and other complaints received. If you are booking a studio in Block C then im sure this accommodation is fine as its in a central location and cheap and cheerful. Unless you intend to party until the early hours then a stay in Block A apartments will be hell. Please read the other 1 star reviews that back this up. I do feel for the hotel as the nightclub is not their fault and they were very apologetic however the bathroom was disgusting and all towels and sheets desperately need replacing

Very clean rooms (cleaned every day) staff lovely. Especially Anna on reception seems to run it single handed very friendly lady. Few problems first day but soon sorted. Travel agent advertised room with garden view which wasn't strictly true our view was if the flats and back if resteraunts with some tatty banana trees. Very noisy through early hours till 5am as on main strip called bar street. Great if you're a clubber but not for those past their sell by date. Like us lol. Not enough work space or bits for self catering so we had to eat out. Did have oven/2hobs on the only worktop available. No microwave. Tiny toaster 1pan 1 saucepan. Plenty of china/cutlery. Lack of shelf or hooks in bathroom for toiletries etc.

Excellent apartments for the price. Maids did a great job keeping them clean. Jenny and her lovely mum Irene were great hosts. It is as noted before in a central and lively area which generates some noise. We can't complain as we contributed to the noise on some nights. Pack ear plugs.

The kitchen is very basic, cooker was rusty. The room was clean, tv you have to hire the plug adapter 2€ buy one over the road for 1€. Bedroom clean plenty of hangers, table light wire was taped up. Bathroom had good shower but a bit tyerd. Staff were very helpful food in the restaurant was great and good value. The big thing wrong with the room was it was situated next to the night club, it started 12pm and finished 5am all you can hear base. This is not all rooms but ours was No 1. I think this hotel is a 1 star rating.

Had a nice relaxing holiday. The hotel and facilities are as to be expected for the *rating. The food at the hotel is good and well cooked, it’s hotel food not high end restaurant food. However plenty of fine places to eat at close by. Bar prices are cheap and the staff and service are great. Given previous reviews I was expecting it to be loud and noisy at night but that’s not been the case. In general the hotel is clean and house keeping good. There is plenty of entertainment in the evenings, so never a dull moment. The hotel bar and restaurant services are provided by the “Friends Bar”, headed by George and his team who never disappoint. I would recommend this place to anyone who is not looking for 5* at 3* rates. In general I’ve had a great time here. I don’t usually go back to the same place twice but … I may make an exception for this place.
