What made our stay even more memorable was the kindness and charm of Maria, the hotel’s manager. She is genuinely caring, always smiling, and goes out of her way to make every guest feel special and comfortable. Her presence adds a personal touch that truly sets Amarande apart. Disappointed. I truly don’t understand how this hotel is rated five stars. Sadly, my experience left me feeling that it didn’t even deserve one. Here’s what happened: 1. Spa treatments – Before our arrival, no one suggested booking spa appointments in advance, so we assumed we could arrange them when we got there. But everything was fully booked for all three days of our stay. It felt like we never had a chance to enjoy one of the experiences we were most looking forward to. 2. Broken shower – Right after a long flight, we arrived to find the shower handle broken. It was eventually fixed, but in a luxury hotel this should not happen at all. 3. No basic toiletries – We spent the days swimming and needed to shower multiple times. When we ran out of soap and I called reception to request more, the answer I received was, “You already have soap in the bathroom.” It felt dismissive and unfriendly, as though a simple request for comfort was too much to ask. 4. Blanket issue – We asked for an extra duvet and were sent a plain blanket with no cover. Only after insisting again did we receive a proper one. These small but important details made it clear that this was not the standard of care I expected. 5. Facilities – The pool closed early and didn’t resemble the photos. The other amenities also felt average, nothing close to the luxury we were promised. 6. The most painful part: water. – We paid for half board, yet at dinner we were told we must purchase water. This was especially confusing because at breakfast, cold drinking water and a jug of water were provided freely. Suddenly, in the evening, even tap water was refused, and I wasn’t allowed to bring my own bottle from the room. The only option was to buy water. For a hotel that already cost so much, this policy felt unfair and deeply disappointing. What hurt the most, however, was how the staff handled it. When I raised the issue, I was met with cold answers like, “That’s just how it is.” The food and beverage manager himself spoke to me in a way that was belittling and insulting. The conversation left me feeling humiliated—so much so that I was on the verge of tears. Instead of empathy or solutions, I felt ignored and diminished. In the end, this was not a five-star experience, but a stay filled with sadness and frustration. I left not only disappointed, but also hurt by how I was treated. Nothing can truly make up for this, except perhaps a partial refund for the money spent on what was supposed to be a special and luxurious experience.

Beautiful hotel. Very nice staff always welcomed us with a smile. Food was so so so delicious. We booked full board, but full board didn’t include drinks (water, soda, alcohol)… Only at breakfast the buffet included drinks and coffee. But at lunch and dinner it was not included. Other than that everything was perfect ❤️

Staying at the hotel was an exceptional experience! Starting with the amazing hotel staff in all areas: reception, housekeeping, dining rooms, etc. etc. Every request was answered with a smile and a sincere desire to help. The cleanliness of the hotel, in the rooms, in the public areas, in the elevators and everywhere is exceptional. The food - excellent! Overall a perfect experience! Excellent value for the money. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Amarande Hotel was a true five-star experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt luxurious and well thought out. The welcome touches of complimentary wine and bites in the room were a wonderful start. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options, nothing more to ask for. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and elegantly designed, making it the perfect place to relax. The pool area was beautiful and very relaxing, with great cocktails to enjoy while lounging. Overall, the hotel exceeded expectations in every way. Nothing more to ask for, simply perfect.
