When we stayed at the hotel two years ago, everything was noticeably better than during our recent visit. At the time of booking, we requested a slightly larger room, as we were traveling as a group of three adults. Instead, we were given a room with one double bed and a bunk bed. The room was by no means of adequate size, and when we asked about alternatives, we were simply told that the hotel was fully booked and no other option could be offered. It is also worth mentioning that the overall condition of the hotel has declined since our last stay. The staff, too, were not as attentive or accommodating as one would normally expect in a hotel. The breakfast was also far from impressive. The selection was the same every day, and it was not particularly extensive to begin with. In terms of taste, it was nothing remarkable either. Additionally, breakfast always felt rushed, as the buffet was cleared away promptly at 10 a.m., leaving no chance to take anything afterwards. On top of that, the staff often removed plates from the table — sometimes even before they were finished — or would interrupt to ask if they could take them while we were still eating. Unfortunately, I must say that the Nestor Hotel can no longer be recommended as it once could, despite its excellent location. For my next stay in Ayia Napa, I will not consider this hotel again.

All staff really friendly and helpful.Entertainment with Billy & Ellie was brilliant and made our holiday, we had a fantastic evening on Elvis night. The pool area was very good as we had the luxury sun decks. Christina the lifeguard couldn’t do enough for us, she was great. We will certainly be returning to The Nestor. Thank you to all the staff.

Our stay at the hotel was overall acceptable, but there were several disappointments, mainly regarding the staff. Upon arrival, we discovered that we had been given a different room than the one we had booked. Only after pointing this out to the reception was the issue addressed — and the correct room was provided the following day. This lack of attention was frustrating, especially after a long journey. While the hotel advertises a late check-out service, the reception staff were unhelpful and unwilling to accommodate this request, even for an additional fee. Communication with the front desk was generally difficult, and only one staff member stood out for her kindness. The housekeeping team, however, was excellent — friendly, efficient, and professional. The food was enjoyable: breakfast offered a basic selection, while dinner was varied each evening. The rooms, although clean, were noticeably smaller than depicted in the promotional photos. In summary, the hotel itself was satisfactory, with good food and diligent housekeeping staff, but the overall guest experience was diminished by the unhelpful and unfriendly attitude of most of the reception team, as well as the lack of attention to guests’ bookings.

The hotel was excellent. I highly recommend it to everyone. It is situated in a wonderful location, the rooms are clean and regularly maintained. The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of choices, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The pool was also clean and well-maintained. I have no negative experiences to report and will certainly return!

Just recently stayed in this hotel for 10 nights and I will say I couldn’t wait to leave as it didn’t reach the expectations of what a 4 star hotel should be. Starting on a positive the pool area looked really nice and clean and the layout of the hotel. First of all the room was not big enough and the ac wasn’t even working properly you couldn’t even feel any cold air coming through and it would also leak from the ceiling when it’s turned on. We got half board and we tried the food a couple of times and it was that bad we ended up going out for dinner every night. The waiter in the canteen was also really rude as I was told I wasn’t allowed to have my own bottle of water on the table whilst I was eating then had the cheek to ask me what I want to drink. After all that money you pay to stay in what’s meant to be a 4 star hotel they expect you to pay for water in the hotel canteen when if anything it should be offered at the very least. Past hotels I’ve been to have never had this policy. I would understand if it was soft drinks or alcohol but water I don’t agree with as I’ve paid a lot of money to stay in this hotel so I expect great customer service and hospitality and I didn’t get any of that the time I was here. As for the pool you aren’t even allowed to play ball games so what do they expect you to be doing in the pool they should know that kids and young men like to play ball games and activities in the pool. Along with that you also have to pay money to sit on the sunbeds that are closer to the pool which I’ve never seen in my life. This place just does anything they can to get any money off you. From my personal experience I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable the staff are rude and in the future an airbnb would be the much better option.
