If you are looking for an escape from city noise and everyday stress, I believe Forest Park Hotel in Platres is the perfect choice.
With its charming old-world character surrounded by beautiful forest, this hotel offers true relaxation. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and come with a small balcony where a pine branch seems to belong just to you — a delightful touch that makes the experience even more special.
The à la carte restaurant is very good, and my compliments to the chef. The breakfast deserves special mention: it was excellent, and I must highlight what was, without doubt, the best and most delicious cheese pie I have ever tasted. It is one of the stars of their buffet breakfast, and you should not miss it!
The true soul of this hotel, however, is its staff. My heartfelt thanks to the wonderful young receptionists, Marianna and Harri. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine willingness to help and serve guests left my family and me absolutely delighted.
I would also like to warmly praise Mani, the young waiter who assisted us during breakfast. His friendliness and attentive service made our mornings even more enjoyable.
Thank you to all these wonderful people for making our stay so memorable.
My only criticism is the early check-out time of 11:00 a.m., which I found a little too early. Apart from that, everything was excellent, and I would be happy to return.

30/6/26. Stayed for 2 nights. We came here 25 plus yrs ago, and stayed in the original bit. This time the new wing. Its basic, clean. Bathroom needs up dating. The views from our balcony were beautiful. Peaceful & quiet. Staff friendly & service good. Bar food was good. The breakfast was not so good, the cooked items just warm & is only served untill 10am. Could arrange it alot nicer. The history of the hotel is amazing, shame there are not more pictures of how it used to be. Also the outdoor swimming pool wasn't open, even thou it was 32 degrees.!!But loved coming back. I hope the hotel continues to do well, its part of Cyprus history.

This is a historic hotel set in the beautiful mountain pine forest. It’s older but still has an elegance about it and the management is doing a good job of updating the rooms. Everything was very clean and neat and the beds comfortable. For what we paid, we consider it a very good value. The Saturday breakfast buffet was amazing in variety, quality and taste. Definitely worth it.

Staying at this historic mountain hotel was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported into another era, where charm, elegance, and nature blend perfectly together. The building itself is full of character, with beautiful architecture and a rich sense of history that makes the experience truly unique.
The surroundings are simply stunning — fresh mountain air, peaceful forests, and incredible views in every direction. It’s the perfect place to relax, disconnect, and fully enjoy the beauty of nature.
The atmosphere in the hotel is warm and inviting, and every detail feels thoughtfully preserved while still offering comfort. Waking up here feels magical, and evenings are especially cozy and memorable.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for something special, romantic, and full of character, this place is truly exceptional.

Not a great experience.
Bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were horrible.
Bathrooms were not clean.
The room does not look like the pictures in person.
The mini bar and the room came with no amenities.
Breakfast was shocking- you could tell that the fruit, cheese, pastries were not fresh.
You can hear everything going on outside the room.
Overall the hotel is very old and definitely needs renovations.
Not a great experience and would not recommend. Definitely do not think that this is a four star hotel.

Olympus Bar
With typical Cypriot decorations, Bar Olympus caters for the day and night with its refreshing cocktails and boasts the original sour brandy cocktail that was made for King Farouk of Egypt in the early 1940s.

Open from 10:00 to 23:30.
Pool Bar
The pool bar serves a variety of refreshments in the summertime. You will be served by the hotel staff while you enjoy the birdsong. The opening hours are 10:00 - 17:00.
La Terrace
La Terrace Café is the place where guests have their breakfast during summer time. Overlooking the outdoor pool, the cafe is often used for business meetings and just to relax. It is situated on the ground floor next to the pine garden.
