Information

Truly a small and friendly hotel, family operated by the second generation of the founders.

Value for money hotel, service attendance is exceptional, clean and well-kept with special attention to detail that can make all the difference at ones’ holiday.  The Tasmaria is situated in a quiet area of Paphos, around the main tourism area. Lying on the “Tomb of the Kings”, the History and Culture of the resort are all either within walking distance or a bus ride away, as is the nearest beach, 550 metres away.

It's location offers the advantage of being away from the busy Harbour, yet close enough to walk to or even take the bus, as it is only 1.5km away.

AWFUL experience! Avoid this place… we arrived as a large group (had 3 rooms between us) one of the rooms air con did not work and was awfully hot, so we kindly asked the hotel manager who pretty much shouted at us and was SO miserable to come and check and fix it.. he finally then fixed after stating it was fine and we was probably just “hot” but after him going to check the other rooms where they was working he finally agreed it was broke! After finally agreeing it was broke he offered us a small crappy fan for the night whilst it got fixed but said we should pay for the fan still! What absolute nonsense! This should have been free considering the air con was not working! He was very rude and dismissive. We also had another issue where he bluntly said none of us could extend the rooms we had for another few hours even though they advertised that you could do this! (I had a 5 month old baby with me I needed to sterilise her bottles etc) he made it very very difficult till in the end we ended up complaining to Jet2… Please avoid this place! He is rude and many other reviews on here state this! Wish I would have checked them before booking!

Where to even begin, the dirt, the amenities, totally disappointed in our experience, on arrival we found the fridge and cooker did not work, after speaking to reception they came and 'fixed' the fridge by running an extension to a different socket, the mains on the electricity consumer unit were uncovered and the cooker had to be lit with a lighter (that we had to buy). All of the cutlery, cups and plates were dirty from previous guests. Our balcony became infested with ants and again when reporting this we were told "go to the shop and buy some ant killer". There was 1 towel in the apartment which was yellow and clearly well used. The bed linning was heavily stained (see pictures) and after being bitten on several different places and becoming extremely itchy we took of the bedding only to find a giant ant had been in between the sheets that had not been changed throughout our stay. There we also discovered a bottle of water that had also been left by previous guests. We never attempted the swimming pool as it look filthy and the tiles around had grim marks that put us off. It wasnt only the cleanliness of the hotel that has let us down. The shower is extremely dangerous and power surges created scalding hot water! There was an uncovered electric supply outside of our room not even a meter away from the water outlet. The room was beyond hot and you have to pay an additional €8 a day for the air conditioning which only covers 1 room, even this was an issue to have put on as the receptionist had to amend the fuse box for it to work, and as the electricity key is attached to the room key you could only have the air con on when you were in the apartment. Overall it has not been a good experience and we will not be returning .

I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks in May 2025. The public areas ( pool, pool bar, sun beds and comfortable outside seating) were really good. The location is very good, on the main road, next to bus station and very handy for everything I wanted. However, my room was problematic. No plug was allowed for sink or bath. Lack of kitchen utensils, there was a gas problem with the oven and I was advised to sleep with patio door open! The path outside my balcony was rubble and wooden pallets were used as in photograph. I won't return to Tasmaria.

Horror show. — search online for information about their bad behavior. I arrived at night and was given a room totally different from the photos – old furniture, outdated facilities, and a bad smell. Reception told me to wait for the manager in the morning. When I spoke to him, he immediately got angry and start yelling saying it was an “upgrade” – just because it had a washing machine. The room was clearly worse than what I booked: nothing was renovated, and it looked 50 years old. Dont disrespect the guests intelligent- giving old room and saying its better. His attitude was terrible, and behavior is really unacceptable and I later saw a lot of similar reviews online. Eventually, he gave me the room I had originally booked, but only after I had to check out at 11 and wait until 3 to check in again – very inconvenient. The experience was disappointing. The place might be fine, or you might have a the worst experience. it’s not worth risking your vacation.

Great hotel for the price. Our apartment is pretty big with a separate living room and bathroom. You have a balcony overlooking the pool. It's completely self catering so don't even expect any coffees or teas. I was lucky to find a shop over the road for supplies. They sell single serve coffees and milks. The place is spacious and clean. The pool area is great with loads of sun loungers. Its a bit far from the waterfront so it's a good idea to use a service like RideNow to get down there for a couple of Euros. I would recommend this place.
