I will give it one star, and that's location only.
Its in the best location to be a cheap hotel for those looking for a nice cheap getaway.
However they made it so cheap that quality is suffering too much.
Staff is loud and obnoxious at times and honestly in the days of self check-in there barely should have to be a receptionist 24/7, combine that task with someone at the bar instead.
And for the love of God of you have issues with guests the other guests shouldn't have to hear that across the hotel, discuss that in private.
Ask a few extra dollars per person, save some on one less employee and fix the place up bit by bit

I stayed at San Remo Hotel in Larnaca, and unfortunately it was a terrible experience.
The rooms were in unacceptable condition — calling them dirty would be an understatement. They were filthy. The beds were broken, the furniture was old, damaged, and in some parts even damp. Dust and dirt were everywhere. In 30 years of traveling, I have never seen anything like this.
I asked to change rooms, but the second room was in the same condition — if not worse. There weren’t even light bulbs in the lamps. The situation felt surreal. The staff were visibly embarrassed, but unfortunately that doesn’t change the reality.
I remained polite throughout, but after a few minutes I decided to cancel my booking and move, at my own expense, to another hotel in Larnaca. Staying there even one more hour was not an option. The level of dirt was genuinely concerning from a hygiene standpoint.
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but in this case it feels necessary.
An experience I would not repeat

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic for any traveler. It's conveniently situated close to the airport, making arrivals and departures a breeze. Furthermore, its proximity to the beach means a relaxing seaside escape is always within easy reach. Even those wishing to explore the city center will find it remarkably accessible. This prime positioning truly enhances the overall experience of a stay here.
The staff members were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are kept impeccably clean on a daily basis.
The breakfast offered was quite satisfactory, especially considering its affordable price (either included in the price or 5€ surcharge).
WiFi internet is rather fast (for an island) 93/93 MB/s
I found it to be a good value overall considering the price.
If you're picky, stay away.

I stayed at the San Maremo Hotel in Larnaca, Cyprus. The rooms were average, and the overall quality of service was also average. The staff were friendly and kind, but the level of organization and service was not outstanding.
Breakfast was served as a buffet, but unfortunately it was often poorly managed. When the first guests arrived, many products were already missing, and later guests sometimes had very little left to eat. Refilling the food took a long time. On one occasion, there were no plates, cutlery, coffee cups, and about 90% of the food was gone. Only after what seemed to be an intervention by a manager did food and tableware start to appear again.
That said, I would still recommend this hotel for a short stay. It is affordable, well located, close to the city center and the sea, and nicely situated overall. A special mention goes to Janusz, who works at the bar and in the restaurant — an incredibly friendly and positive person who really made the stay more pleasant.
Lunches and dinners were served in a partner hotel about 300 meters away, and they were absolutely excellent — 10 out of 10. There was plenty of food, nothing was missing, and the meals were truly delicious.
Overall, a good option for a short, budget-friendly trip in a great location.
Oh San Remo... and the manager of the place. What have you done? Or actually, what haven't you done? The answer is: Nothing. This hotel is stucked in the past times. Surely it is the cheapest hotel in Larnaca, but is it worth it? For me not anymore. It's sad, this place has a huge potential. Huge! Shame on you manager, shame on you! It's not that they dont have staff. They do, a lot. Still no one cares. Pool was under construction. Hopefully they renovate the outdated pool bar too.
Rooms are... how should i say... ugly. There's a fridge but it doesn't work. Balcony is... pretty useless, but if you get the street view, you can also spot the planes very easy. Thankfully there's aircondition in the room. Breakfast is included and it's actually very good with bacon and eggs, etc. One other good thing is the location: There are few very good restaurants and very fairly priced supermarket (Petros). Sea is very close too, can get good photos there. A walk to center takes about 20mins, no need to take taxi.

Twin rooms can accommodate up to 3 persons.

Dining
From casual diving at the poolside to formal dining in the restaurant, the menu offers a variety of Cypriot and Continental cuisine, with regular "Theme Nights" serving traditional Cypriot dishes and entertaining group dances accompanied by live music. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor next to the reception desk. It is small and very informal, like the rest of the hotel.
Cafe Evita Cocktail Bar, adjoining the pool deck is a perfect place to meet with friends or business associates for a cocktail or drink.
