At 45 euros per night, which is the price I paid, the San Remo Hotel offers excellent value for the price. It is a practical and modest place to stay, so you shouldn't expect luxury, but you absolutely get what you pay for. The rooms are standard and basic, yet they provide everything you need for a comfortable visit.
What truly elevated my experience and made my stay amazing was the outstanding hospitality, specifically from Janusz, the Polish bartender. He was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming. I ordered plenty of Long Island cocktails during my stay, and Janusz made them perfectly every single time.
If you are looking for a straightforward, budget-friendly hotel with great drinks and a staff member who truly goes out of his way to ensure you have a good time, I highly recommend this place. A huge thank you to Janusz for the excellent service!

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel in Cyprus was a big disappointment. The condition of the room and bathroom was far below acceptable standards. The door was damaged, with peeling paint and visible cracks. The door frame looked worn out and showed signs of moisture damage.
The bathroom fittings were heavily worn and covered with limescale and stains. The shower curtain was dirty and had visible mold, and the bathtub was clearly neglected. Overall, it felt like the bathroom was not properly cleaned or maintained.
There were visible water stains and uneven patches on the ceiling, probably from previous leaks and poor repairs. This raised concerns about the building’s technical condition. In addition, the electrical sockets were placed very close to water, which felt unsafe.
The room looked old and poorly maintained, and the overall cleanliness was unsatisfactory. The standard did not match the price or the description in the offer.
On the positive side, the location was good and Cyprus itself is beautiful. However, the hotel urgently needs renovation and better hygiene standards.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place and I do not plan to return.

Cheap, but not very cheerful. Yes, I appreciate it is only 2-star, but that should not apply to the attitude and competency of the staff.
To be fair, the room was clean, but basic. No tea-making facilities or even a complimentary bottle of water.
The staff let it down; I dealt with two members of reception staff and a barman, and none seemed interested in 'customer focus.'
Finally, I was second in for breakfast, about five minutes after it opened, and almost everything on the buffet was cold.

I stayed at the San Maremo Hotel in Larnaca, Cyprus. The rooms were average, and the overall quality of service was also average. The staff were friendly and kind, but the level of organization and service was not outstanding.
Breakfast was served as a buffet, but unfortunately it was often poorly managed. When the first guests arrived, many products were already missing, and later guests sometimes had very little left to eat. Refilling the food took a long time. On one occasion, there were no plates, cutlery, coffee cups, and about 90% of the food was gone. Only after what seemed to be an intervention by a manager did food and tableware start to appear again.
That said, I would still recommend this hotel for a short stay. It is affordable, well located, close to the city center and the sea, and nicely situated overall. A special mention goes to Janusz, who works at the bar and in the restaurant — an incredibly friendly and positive person who really made the stay more pleasant.
Lunches and dinners were served in a partner hotel about 300 meters away, and they were absolutely excellent — 10 out of 10. There was plenty of food, nothing was missing, and the meals were truly delicious.
Overall, a good option for a short, budget-friendly trip in a great location.
This is the cheapest hotel in Larnaca...people that review forget this. I paid £24 for 1 night for 1 person via a booking platform. You cannot check-in before 14:00 and the swimming pool is empty and under reconstruction. There is an elevator and the place was actually quite busy. The room has a balcony with two chairs and a new AC/Heat unit which I had maxed at 30 degrees, though unfortunately due to lack of insulation (glass sliding door to the balcony and a six inch gap under the bathroom door, the room was very cold. As expected there are no complimentary amenities in the bathroom aside from sink and shower soap. There was a vanity table, 1 bedside table, 1 refrigerator and a wardrobe with blanket and coathangars and a smart TV (though the remote was missing a battery so I didn't use it) The room was spacious enough and the bed was comfortable and the linen clean. Importantly, though the interior was aged and under renovation, everything in the room was clean including the linen and the WiFi worked well. For the price, how can one really complain? Upon check-out you'll also have to wait 5 minutes as they check the rooms. The location is very good and the staff were pleasant enough. For the price, 4/5 is absolutely fair.
