Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at this hotel. While I was filling the bathtub, a female staff member came and knocked on the door. I was in the bathroom, so my girlfriend opened the door. The employee started speaking in her own language, and since my girlfriend does not speak Russian, she behaved quite rudely. When I came out of the bathroom and asked what the problem was, she said there had been a complaint because water was going to the kitchen. When I told her that this was not my problem, she replied in a rude way saying “It is your problem.” It honestly felt like taking a shower or washing in this hotel was somehow forbidden. The reception staff were also very unwilling and uninterested. I have rarely seen employees working with such a lack of motivation. The hygiene was even worse. We found cockroaches in the beds. During breakfast and dinner, cockroaches were also around the dining area. The staff constantly stand over you while you eat, so you cannot even enjoy your meal comfortably. You almost feel like you have to finish your plate and even drink your water somewhere else. This hotel definitely does not deserve the money I paid. Unfortunately, they completely ruined my holiday in Cyprus.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading so many negative comments. I'm happy to say that hotel is very good, clean, good breakfast and friendly staff (except maybe one grumpy housekeeper) I really enjoyed the stay, 200 meters to the beach and outdoor gym.

Price wise the hotel was good but the receptionist was one of the most rude people I have ever come across and it really came across that she absolutely did not want to be there. The other staff were lovely and it could be a great spot with a lot of renovations and new front of house staff.

It’s a well-equipped hotel. I don’t understand why it rated so low. I have spent good three-nights ghee in my winter holiday. The lokation is good. You can take bus no. 425 directly to the airport- the bus ticket costs only 2.4 €. You can as well take many lines to the Larnaka city, Protaras, Paralmni and more destinations. The breakfast is buffet with hot and cold meals. The room has a sea- view and it’s quiet in the night. 5 minutes walk to the beach. If you forget adaptor, you can borrow one for 3 € as deposit. Everything is good.

Mariandy is a charming clean and very friendly boutique hotel (30-50 rooms) with great breakfast and very nice pool area. It is very very quiet and family style relaxed. And yet it is convenient to reach. The beach is very close, 5 minute walk. And the beach is quiet, too: no big hotels, not very touristy; mainly locals, mainly beach villas. The nearby Havana Beach bar rents sunbed & umbrella for 5€ for whole day. Also great to see the sun rise over the sea in the morning or have a quiet walk/jogging in the early morning. It’s safe! The tavern „Vlacho“ in 5min walking distance serves very good food at good prices. Speaking of prices: the Mariandy rates are fabulous given the standard and the location. I’d come back any time! … and would feel like coming back home.
