Just returned from honeymoon in Cyprus, our adopted country we travel to constantly, for holidays. Margadina was a great surprise and went above our expectations. Location: great! Walking distance from the busy area of Ayia Napa with plenty of restaurants and nightlife, but at same time it is located in a quiet part of Ayia Napa, and surrounded by several supermarkets. Rooms: Great and extremely clean. Only downside was the wifi signal in the room but not a big problem for us as we wanted to be disconnected from the ''real world'' as much as possible. Staff: All staff encountered were friendly and cordial, we were given a welcome drink and an upgrade due to our honeymoon :) Breakfast: The usual breakfast you have in a 4 star, plenty of options. Hotel facilities: the indoor and external swimming pool looked wonderful. However we didn't use it as we spent all days enjoying the amazing local beaches. We had a cocktail at the bar at night. There was live music and the cocktails were done by a professional bartender (proper cocktails). Cleanliness: How to say it?... you can literally eat from the floor, that's how clean it is. And it smells amazing in the communal areas. There is parking available free of charge. Oh, also, There is a resident cat that lives at the hotel door. Adolf is his name. Lovely and friendly cat. Don't forget to leave a small present for him :D Would we return? Definitely YES! Well done Margadina. Keep up the good work.

Everything good. We would point out food selection for breakfast, above average. Decent pool also. Only complaint was spa and gym working hours 10-18h. They were advertised on Booking for having these amenities. But if you want to go to the beach it makes spa and gym unusable. So son't get the point why they have it. :D Best would be to extend working hours so you can go to the spa before breakfast for example, at least open at 9h. Or extend breakfast up until 10:30 or 11.

First time staying at Margadina , perfect experience ever. Everything was perfect, the staff , the food , super clean , the room with the pool view! Everyone was super nice and friendly Every night at dinner different dishes like a world tour, our favourite was Mexican night Close to the beach, close to the center or Ayia Napa , stores, markets … it has everything you need Thank you I will come back again for sure ☀️

For my wife and I, the accommodation was perfect. Just outside the overly crowded area of Ayia Napa, but close enough that we could walk. Service was exceptional from the day we arrived until check-out. The food is decent for breakfast and dinner. We got a room facing west, so we got to enjoy almost every sunset which was unexpected. They also have a great gym area and 2 cool pools (one inside and one outside) which you can enjoy regardless of the weather.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because of the amazing staff who work here. Otherwise, for the service I received at reception, I would give 0. I’ve been very disappointed with my stay here, mainly because of the man at reception who checked us in at 2am. I paid extra for a sea view with a balcony, but instead he tried to trick me by saying he was giving me an upgrade. At first, I thought he was being nice, but the upgrade was basically a prison-like underground room. I went back to reception and said no thanks, I want the room I actually booked and paid for. He then told me he had given that room to someone else and that it wasn’t his problem. I reminded him I had booked this hotel three weeks ago, but all he said was sorry, we’re fully booked for the next month we dont any rooms available and He really didn’t care at all. I tried calling TUI that night, but they were closed after hours. I couldn’t sleep, so in the morning I went back to speak to the manager only to find out the same man was the manager. I was shocked. At 10am I called TUI again and told them I was ready to leave and book another hotel. TUI customer service was horrified by how badly I was treated. After a long argument between TUI and the hotel, they finally agreed to give me the room I originally paid for. I saw the room and said I was happy with it, but after went out because it wasnt ready as they said after coming back from the beach later, they gave me a key for a completely different room again. It was exhausting and frustrating. Instead of a sea view, I ended up with a room facing tall trees and no view at all. The lies didn’t stop there the next day I noticed other new guests being given the same type of room I had originally booked, so clearly they just lied to me. Thankfully, TUI took it seriously and even offered me a partial refund (which I didn’t even ask for). I’ve always trusted TUI and never had an issue with them, and they handled this situation really well. The only positive about this hotel was the staff in the restaurant. The waiters were absolutely amazing so friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food was nice but a bit repetitive; it would be better if they changed the menu a little each day. I left a good tip for the waiters because they really deserve it. I just hope they actually receive it. Overall, I will not book this hotel again, and I will make others aware of the poor attitude at reception. The way I was treated was unacceptable, and it’s a shame because the rest of the staff were genuinely lovely.
