First impressions matter, and unfortunately the welcome at Sun Hotel felt a little cold. Check-in was fairly bleak, no smiles, no warmth and it gave the sense that our arrival was more of an inconvenience than a pleasure. Not the best start. That said… the room quickly turned things around. Our Family Superior Room was genuinely beautiful. The main bed was exceptionally comfortable, a great mattress, lovely pillows, and a cosy duvet that made early nights very tempting. The single bed was the only let-down here, feeling a bit rickety due to the lack of a proper bed frame. Amenities were plentiful and thoughtfully provided: tea, coffee, a L’OR coffee machine, and a complimentary bottle of water waiting in the fridge, always appreciated after travelling! The balcony was another highlight, with double doors opening out to views across half the city and half the harbour. While the photos made it look closer to the harbour than it actually is, the view was still lovely and added a real sense of space. The bathroom was stylish and spotlessly clean on arrival, with fantastic lighting and a powerful shower that heated up fast. Towels were generously sized and luxuriously soft, a small detail, but one that really elevates a stay. Housekeeping deserves a special mention. Each time the room was made up it felt brand new again, beautifully tidied, fully restocked, and clearly done with care. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, catering well for different tastes and dietary needs. There were alternative milks, the usual breakfast staples, a pastry heater, fruit juice mixers, a coffee machine, and a good selection of teas. Fresh cheeses, salmon, mackerel, and assorted fruits added a nice touch. Staff worked constantly to keep everything topped up, though once again interaction was minimal and felt a little impersonal. Location-wise, Sun Hotel really shines. It sits right next to the marina, with an easy walk to the beach and the main town area, while still being nicely removed from the hustle and bustle, a great balance. Overall, Sun Hotel delivers comfort, cleanliness, and a great location, but falls short on warmth and hospitality. With a friendlier welcome and more engaging staff interaction, this could easily be a 5-star experience. We’ll be returning this year, hopefully next time to give it that final star ⭐

The room was simple and slightly outdated, services were good. Google maps couldn’t find the most efficient way to the hotel due to a lot of one direction streets. To reach the hotel navigate to Larnaka’s public transport bus station.

Our stay at Sun Hall Hotel in Larnaca was excellent and truly memorable. The location of the hotel is perfect the facilities and breakfast was excellent the room was great the shower and the soups were awesome. From the moment we arrived, the level of service stood out, especially thanks to Sotia at the reception. She is the perfect example of what an outstanding front desk professional should be: warm, welcoming, highly professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. Sotia went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of, always with a sincere smile and great attention to detail. Her exceptional service elevated our entire stay and reflects the high standards of the hotel. Thanks to her, the experience was outstanding. We would happilyu return and highly recommend this hotel.

09:03 -② 94 What a great hotel. Fantastic location, the beach is across the road, it's very close to lots of restaurants, but is at the very end of the road so is not in the thick of everything. Rooms are bright and clean. We always book a room with a sea view. Sitting on your balcony watching the sunrise is amazing. As for the staff, well they make the hotel as good as it is. From the reception staff to the cleaners, all go out of their way to make your stay wonderful, they were great in accommodating my dietary requirements. Special mention goes to youngsters Penny, Nicol and Constantino for their quiet, but excellent service. Of course the big guns, Nasia and Christos at breakfast (and everywhere else that they are needed), and Thanasi in the bar, are so good at their jobs they make you feel like you are part of the family. We chose this hotel mainly because its close to Larnaca Marina and within walking distance of the Queen Zenobia dive boat. Although not much to look at from the outside, we were very pleasantly surprised by the spacious room with views over the sea, the delicious Buffet-style breakfast and location, not only directly opposite the marina but also at the top of the buzzing strip, full of restaurants, cafes and bars. The hotel boasts a 1st floor swimming pool, spa and adequate gym. Definitely stay here again for the next Zenobia wreck dive 😃
