Clean hotel in a great location. Friendly service, with fab entertainment provided by Ash and her team for adults and children (aqua aerobics daily was great, and Ash made a point of ensuring she walked round the guests to ensure they were ok and enjoying themselves- the energy she has in the heat is inspiring!)
Great choice for breakfast and lobby area fully air conditioned, which made a welcome break to relax escape the heat.
Although the hotel caterers for families, it didn’t feel over-run with children and still able to relax at the poolside

Excellent hotel. Gr8 location for nearby restaurants and 5 mins walk to beach. Lovely large pool area. Loved Ashe who was part of Entertainments team and did the Pool Aerobics. We were on B&B so only had breakfast which was excellent. Entertainment at night - Kiddies Disco at 8.30 followed by Adult Entertainment at 9.30 which was better some nights than others but we went out at night for our Evening meal so usually only watched part of it when we came back. Excellent hotel and good price

We have just visited the Avanti Hotel for the first time and have already looked to return. Upon arrival, the lovely reception and bar staff made sure we had everything we needed including a lovely refreshing drink as we walked in. The rooms are spotless, with housekeeping attending every day. Poolside was relaxing, with plentiful sunbeds and a lovely swim up bar. Special mention goes out to Ash and her entertainment team. Whilst we did not participate, we saw her work her socks off to put a smile on guests faces. She has a beautiful personality which shines through in everything she does.
Whilst the hotel may not look like it competes with some of the large chain hotels on the seafront, it has a traditional charm and a lovely atmosphere.

Great hotel - big, clean apartments with super comfy beds, you can request interconnecting apartments too if you have two. Lots of cats everywhere so if you love cats, this is the place for you! You can buy dry cat food quite cheap from the nearby supermarket too.
Supermarket nearby (just down from the medical centre, near Pandream) was really good. Lots of useful stuff for self catering (milk, bread, ham, cheese, fruit, frozen stuff, even pot noodles!).
Food was really nice (you can upgrade to half board on arrival if you've booked self catering, but also Tea for Two across the road was great too). The lunchtime restaurant was good too, huge portions and cooked fresh.
Entertainment was a bit hit and miss but the kids enjoyed it. Could've done with a better area for the entertainment as if you didn't get there at 8pm you couldn't get a seat with a decent view. The timings shown in reception weren't always correct either. Parrot show and dance show were both really good.
Two main pools were good and the kids loved having their inflatables. Deepest bit of the pool was around 130cm so felt safer for kids. Near the beach too which you can walk along towards the harbour, which is all beautiful. Ice cream van at the beach is good too, massive ice creams for about €4.50.

We just returned from our second visit. We first visited 20 years ago when we had our wedding reception here. It's a very traditional 4 star hotel, with drinks receptions, helpful reception staff, a very varied and well cooked buffet breakfast, bar staff that will serve to your table and all the facilities you'd expect. There's a lovely sauna/ steam room / jacuzzi that helped clear up a cold I picked up on the first day
There seems to have been a lot of returning guests while we were there, which shows the appeal of the hotel.
It's well placed for the beach and plenty of bars and restaurants.

Paphos (or Pafos) is one of the most beautiful and ancient towns of Cyprus. Wherever one treads in Paphos he comes across its glorious history which dates back thousands of years, when the cult of goddess Aphrodite who emerged from its seas, flourished in this beautiful part of the world attracting many visitors from the island and abroad.
Today Paphos is a small harbour town, but in Hellenistic and Roman times it was the capital of Cyprus. Still under the spell of her Beauty-Goddess, the area retaining her magic, has remained impact by time. Paphos seduces its visitor with its majestic landscape, lovely coastline, historical treasures and delightful villages where tradition is still a way of life.
The legacy from its remarkable history adds up to nothing less than an open museum, so much so that UNESCO simply added the whole town its world Cultural Heritage List. Among the treasures unearthed, are the remarkable mosaics in the Houses of Dionyssos, Theseus and Aion, beautifully preserved after 16 centuries under the soil. Then there are the mysterious vaults and caves, the Tombs of the Kings, the ancient Odeon Theatre and other places of interest including the various Museums.
