Latchi Fishing Harbor is nearby for fresh fish and boat trips. Designed in the theme of a Cypriot village, with mature landscapping and a swimmimg pool overlooking the Mediterranean.
The Akamanthea Holiday Village is an intimate and friendly family run resort that is located in Prodromi, which is nestled between the town of Polis and the popular fishing village of Latchi.
The Akamanthea, rests in a peaceful area only minutes walk away from the beach and close to all amenities and services one expects. It is ideally situated for those who enjoy exploring unspoilt natural beauty, villages untouched by modern time, old churches and monasteries, the Baths of the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, the many fishing taverns known for serving freshly caught fish and of course the many crystal clear beaches of the Akamas Peninsula and Polis Chrysochous. Jeep safaris as well as a variety of boat trips are also available.Car hire is an option.
The superb design and build is based on a Cypriot village theme with a neo classical character, soft pastel colours and furnishings reflecting the local style complement the high standards and pleasantly informal ambience and help enhance the feeling of relaxation and restfulness. Although full kitchen facilities are available, it is possible to book bed & breakfast or Half Board.

Great family-owned hotel.
The only reason for 4 stars for Rooms instead of 5 was that the bathroom (room 111) was ready for a slight upgrade. Washing machine was not functioning however we did not expect a washing machine and the hotel happily offered to wash anything instead. Miss Phoebe was so accommodating and we couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and helpful host. Additionally, all the staff were friendly and the level of service was 100%. The hotel village gardens were beautifully kept which made it a pretty place to stay. Location was great, only 5 minutes walk to the beach quiet and relaxing, just what we needed. The pool was clean and warm enough to swim. We really enjoyed our time here and are already considering returning here in future.

With peculiar decorations all around the hotel area, it is a holiday stay that has a character of it's own. The gardens are lovely, filled with local plants and flowers and very well maintained.
We had originally booked a double room but upon check in were given a twin bed room. When we had kindly explained that we specifically wanted a double bed the hotel staff did their best, and by the end of the day they managed to re-arrange their bookings and they put us in a newly refurnished double bed room, one that was much nicer than the one we had originally booked (no extra charge!)
The breakfast was humble and simple, but they had cooked English Breakfast options, toast options & cereals & fruit.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, the surrounding area is calm and welcoming, and there are some gorgeous views of the sea from this place.
I would recommend to anyone who was a quiet and easygoing stay in the area.

I visited akamenthea holiday village with my girlfriend in July 2025. We had a fantastic time. The beach was a short 5 minute walk, the staff and owners were all very friendly and accomodating and we both really enjoyed the food.
The hotel surpassed expectations by leaving food in the room the first night (as we arrived at 3am), this was massively appreciated. They also helped us when we checked out and had to wait 7 hours for our airport transfer.
Overall I would highly recommend going here based on our visit. We went as a couple and it was quiet and relaxing, however, there were people with children and they looked to be having a great time.
My reason for a 4 star on the rooms are the mattresses, which were too soft for me but that may be a personal preference thing. The bit you stand in the bath to shower was also very small to the point where i could barely move (i have size 9uk feet). Other than these things I loved the room, we had a smart TV to relax and watch before bed and the room had everything we needed and more including; fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave, washing machine, a balcony and a view of the sea.

Having just finished a wonderful 2 week stay at this excellent venue with my wife, I need to share just how special and how truly welcomed we felt from our first arrival and for the complete stay. The level of care from all of the staff was truly genuine. The hotel is an easy 25 minute walk from both Latchi and Polis and a 5 minute wander along a path to the beach. A peaceful location and a clean, comfortable one bedroomed apartment that was attended every 2 days with bed linen and towel change. An impressive experience and highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay with my family. Beautiful location, and beautiful property and pool. The staff were amazing and always willing to go the extra mile. The beach was a short walk away and the harbour has a selection of boat rides to the Blue Lagoon which is an absolute must. We will definitely come.back.
