Information

A small, quiet and friendly family run resort. It is low built with 2 floors. Strategically located to explore the unspoilt natural beauty of the Akamas Peninsula and enjoy beautiful beaches. Latchi Fishing Harbor is nearby for fresh fish and boat trips. Designed in the theme of a Cypriot village, with mature landscapping and a swimmimg pool overlooking the Mediterranean.

The Akamanthea Holiday Village is an intimate and friendly family run resort that is located in Prodromi, which is nestled between the town of Polis and the popular fishing village of Latchi.

The Akamanthea, rests in a peaceful area only minutes walk away from the beach and close to all amenities and services one expects. It is ideally situated for those who enjoy exploring unspoilt natural beauty, villages untouched by modern time, old churches and monasteries, the Baths of the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, the many fishing taverns known for serving freshly caught fish and of course the many crystal clear beaches of the Akamas Peninsula and Polis Chrysochous. Jeep safaris as well as a variety of boat trips are also available.Car hire is an option.

The superb design and build is based on a Cypriot village theme with a neo classical character, soft pastel colours and furnishings reflecting the local style complement the high standards and pleasantly informal ambience and help enhance the feeling of relaxation and restfulness. Although full kitchen facilities are available, it is possible to book bed & breakfast or Half Board.

My friends and I stayed here for a quick weekend trip back in mid-June and had such a great time! The staff here are ridiculously helpful. We wanted to cook up some food in our room and realized we were missing a pan, asked the desk and they brought up everything we needed in literally a couple of minutes. A few things that made the stay awesome: The pool area: Super peaceful and quiet. There’s a huge grassy lawn around it that was great for just chilling outside and walking around. The room: Very clean, and the view from our room was fantastic. Parking: Super convenient—parked right near our room so we didn't have to lug our bags far. Overall, great vibes, beautiful spot, and top-tier service. Would definitely come back next time we're in Cyprus!

Our experience was fantastic. Firstly, our room (206) has clearly been recently renovated and had a nice firm mattress. Secondly, the staff here is very friendly and helpful. Phoebe, part of the family that runs the hotel, Adri and Olga at the reception were very polite and welcoming. Last but not least, the location is perfect for a relaxing getaway (I’m seriously considering using it for a corporate offsite) and the cost per night is very reasonable. One recommendation to the owners is to offer more options for breakfast (we dined elsewhere). Glad we discovered the place 👍

We had a 9 night stay at the Akamanthea with my dad, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. My dad first visited the Akamanthea 25 years ago with my mum and immediately fell in love with the place. He kept coming back over the years with my mum and then my brother and then me, which really shows the kind of place it is- it definitely draws you back This is the second time in the past three years that my dad and I have visited, and it never disappoints. The pool and outdoor area are beautiful and always very well maintained . It’s lovely and quiet, which suited us perfectly. The service was excellent. The barman was really friendly and was constantly bringing drinks over to us by the pool. The owner also checked in with us on our first day to make sure everything was okay and gave us some recommendations about the local area and things to do, Luckily for us, we already know the area very well. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis because we usually like to eat out in the evenings, but the breakfasts were very nice. The only slight downside was that we felt our rooms was a little dated, However, from all of our stays over the years, this was probably the most dated room we’ve had, so definitely not the standard. We’ve stayed in some lovely rooms at the hotel in the past. Overall, it’s a wonderful place that always makes you want to come back. We look forward to returning in the future.

If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city, this hotel is the perfect choice. It is located in a quiet area, yet ideally positioned for exploring. A beautiful 15-minute walk along the beach path takes you to Latchi, where you can grab delicious ice cream and catch a fabulous boat cruise to the Blue Lagoon. The charming town center of Polis is also just a 25-minute walk away. On top of that, you can take a short bus ride (around 15 minutes) to the magical Akamas National Park. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean, and the food is tasty with good variety. A wonderful and classy touch in the evenings was the live piano music played in the hotel. Peaceful atmosphere, great location, and excellent hospitality. Highly recommended!

Exceptional in every way! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The staff are some of the friendliest and most professional people I have ever met, always smiling, helpful, and ready to assist with anything. The owners are truly wonderful people who go above and beyond to make every guest feel valued and at home. The hotel itself was spotless, comfortable, and maintained to a very high standard. Every detail showed the care and dedication that the owners put into creating a perfect experience for their guests. What made this stay so special was the atmosphere. It felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed by friends. Nothing was too much trouble, and the level of hospitality was outstanding. I travel often, and I can honestly say this has been one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. If you are considering staying here, don’t hesitate! you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return in the future. Thank you to the amazing staff and owners for making our stay unforgettable!
