We stayed at Grand Maris Hotel, Cyprus for two weeks and overall had a good stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement. The staff were amazing – super friendly, helpful, and brilliant with my son. The hotel itself was spotless, one of the cleanest I’ve visited. Our modern sea-view room (411) was spacious and perfect for a couple with a baby or child. The pool area was lovely, and the splash park and slides are a great touch for families. That said, I think the pool space might feel small during peak summer, and the sunbeds could do with an upgrade – a bit more modern and comfortable. The location is convenient, between Pernera and Protaras, with Nick’s Bottle Shop opposite for cheap drinks and great exchange rates. Negatives: there wasn’t much daytime/evening entertainment or activities, and the snack buffet wasn’t great (mostly chips, fish fingers, and fruit). The gym was also quite small. Overall, I’d rate it 3.5 stars – clean, modern, and family-friendly, but it needs a bit more variety and atmosphere to be truly great.

Pros: 1. Beautiful, spacious room. 2. Nice waterpark (though with some issues—see below). 3. Breakfast was decent. Cons: 1. Despite being newly renovated, the waterpark had several things out of order. One slide was closed, the kiddie pool’s water guns didn’t work, and the overhead buckets weren’t functioning. 2. Very little air conditioning in the dining areas (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)—uncomfortable in the heat. 3. The pool bar “snacks” were poor quality. 4. The main pool was dirty and unpleasant; it even smelled strongly of sewage. 5. Dinner was very disappointing: undercooked rice, fatty meats with soggy skin, and overall poor food quality. 6. Parking was inconvenient and unsafe—it’s across a busy street, and carrying luggage with kids was stressful. Overall: We will not return. While the hotel is medium-priced, the experience did not match the value. I’d rather spend a little more and stay at a place that maintains higher standards.

I stayed at this all-inclusive hotel in Cyprus, and “all-inclusive” really is the perfect description. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding. Breakfast had an incredible variety, the snack bar could easily pass as a full meal, and both lunch and dinner were absolutely delicious. I loved the themed dinner nights, which kept things exciting. On top of that, you get one booking at the Italian restaurant during your stay — the food there was exceptional, the chef did an amazing job, and it felt really exclusive. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-kept, with two single beds and a sofa bed option. Housekeeping cleaned daily if requested, and the hotel was spotless throughout. The only small thing is that the balconies weren’t very spacious, but it didn’t take away from how lovely the rooms were. The pool area was spotless and well maintained. The waterslide (partially finished) was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus to the beach every hour — such a thoughtful and convenient touch. The staff were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. As Black travellers, we felt very comfortable and well-treated, which made our experience even better. Evening entertainment was lively, and the hotel also offers a spa, gym, and just about everything you could need. Drinks and treats were always available — cocktails flowed until 11pm, fresh juices and water were accessible all day, and ice cream was stocked in the fridges throughout the day. The only minor downside was that towards the end of our stay, the tap water tasted a bit strange. This wasn’t a big issue, as bottled water was cheap and available right across the road at a convenience store. Overall, this hotel truly deserves a 10/10. With fantastic food, excellent service, beautiful rooms, and great facilities, I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect all-inclusive holiday in Cyprus. We are currently staying at the new Maris Grand water park. The water park is not operational, how ever this is not a massive factor as you have access to another small water park in Protaras. A free hourly bus has been offered and this is only a short drive away to the lovely fig tree bay. We originally swapped to another hotel as the water park (slides) are still under construction. We made a big mistake and managed to reinstate our booking at the Maris. Staff are very accommodating, drinks are good. Some drinks are at a small charge but there are plenty to choose from and thats coming from some as fussy as me! We have only seen lunch so far. Very fresh and plenty of choice. We are a family of two adults, a 18year old and 15 year old. Both teenagers are happy. The rooms are modern, clean and offer tea and coffee facilities and a decent Hair dryer. Bathrooms are modern, no bath tub but large shower with decent shower heads.

5/5 – Fantastic Stay at Maris Grand Waterpark Resort ! We recently stayed at the Maris Grand Hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with food and some bottles of water (great as we arrived at midnight) – friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The hotel itself was spotless. Everything from the rooms to the shared areas was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It’s clear the team takes great pride in the hotel's presentation. The food was another highlight – There was a wide variety to choose from, and every meal felt fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, there was always something nice to enjoy. The only disappointing part was the *All Inclusive Plus as they refused to serve branded alcohol and the entertainment wasn't all that great unfortunately. I understand the hotel is new and everyone is finding there feet etc but I think for the amount it cost us for the week to stay these things should have been in place and made clear exactly what to expect. Overall, our stay at Maris Grand Hotel was great. If you're looking for a clean, welcoming place with great food and outstanding service, I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back!
