Hotel Veronica – Honest Review
I arrived at Hotel Veronica to a wonderfully warm welcome. The receptionist, D, was exceptionally jolly, helpful, and friendly, an absolute breath of fresh air after travelling. This positive first impression set the tone for what I hoped would be a great stay.
My room itself was a pleasant surprise being spacious, very clean, and sweet-smelling. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp, fresh linen, and the bathroom offered plenty of space as well. The only downside was the hot water, it took a noticeably long time to warm up enough for a shower. Knowing Cyprus faces water shortages, this felt particularly disappointing.
Dinner, unfortunately, was where the experience dipped. The dining room was almost empty, yet the staff’s behaviour made me quite uncomfortable. While I was still eating, I was unexpectedly asked to pay for my meal. I refused until I had finished, but the situation was irritating and unnecessary. Two staff members hovered around with very little to do, which only amplified the feeling of being watched. Oddly, after I’d finished my main course, my plate was left untouched even when I went to get dessert, despite the staff having no other guests to attend to.
One bright moment was the lady chef, who kindly came out smiling and offered me a special dessert she’d made — a lovely personal touch. Still, the quality of the main meal suffered because the food simply wasn’t hot enough. It seemed likely the bain-marie wasn’t keeping things at the right temperature, which is a shame considering how much food appeared to go to waste with hardly any other diners present.
Breakfast was included in my stay, but again the hot food , eggs and bacon etc was cold. Another uncomfortable moment came when a waitress stared at me throughout my cereal, maintaining eye contact even when I looked back, yet never coming over to clear my growing collection of used plates and cups.
Overall, the hotel has clear positives: a fantastic receptionist, clean and comfortable rooms, and a few genuinely kind staff interactions. However, the dining experience , from food temperature to the dining staff conduct left a lot to be desired. With some improvements in training, atmosphere, and food service, the hotel could offer a far better experience to its guests.

Cleaning staff shows up an hour before your checkout, knocking and entering the room even though you have paid until 12:00 and there’s no such things as tea or coffee at the rooms.
When I told the receptionist about the issue, she clearly showed she didn’t care and just placed the responsibility on the cleaning lady.
Own your mistakes and apologize would have been nice.
If you want your privacy/peace, value for your money and good customer service, I’ll recommend you to find another place.

I don't understand the poor reviews of this hotel.
I have just spent 5 nights on a bed and breakfast stay and found the hotel to be clean, friendly and perfectly located.
The room was very comfortable with extra pillows if needed and lots of nice fresh towels that were changed during my stay. Bins were emptied daily and rooms cleaned.
The public areas of the hotel were also very clean and comfortable, beautiful lounge area to sit and relax and a very spacious restaurant.
I only had breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on the evening meals, but breakfast was delicious. Large hot selection, continental meats and cheeses, plus yoghurt, fruit and cake ( and delicious rice pudding, always a winner for me). There must have been 5 different bread selections to toast too. Staff are attentive and tables are cleared swiftly.
The pool area is large and I know I travelled off season, but plenty of beds, seating and a lovely pool bar.
The hotel is greatly located with easy access to bars, restaurants and kiosks and reception staff are friendly and welcoming.
It took me a slow amble of 25 minutes to walk to the harbour.
I would not hesitate to return

The location is great to be in. However for a three star hotel I found less amenities. At the least for example, there’s no brush/toothpaste for guests or there was no mention of the receptions number besides the intercom. Further, there are no water bottles or coffee pouches or a kettle in the room. And I guess that’s a bare minimum in a 3 star hotel. It’s a beautifully placed and well built hotel but can show improvements in services.
I spend 5 days in this hotel, the room was ok not so clean and there is small baby keeping crying all night, I think they need to have a floor and area for people with kids.the breakfast was good for 3 star hotel. The pool was amazing.
