The location is ideal for Bars,Restaurants and the Harbour. The rooms certainly need some updating. We asked for a quiet, upstairs room. We got a room right near the front, needless to say it was very noisy. The balcony measured 4ft X 6ft, with a table and 2 chairs, so no room to move. The main room had 2 plug sockets in random places. There was only 1 drawer, that didn't open fully, because it was behind the front door and the fitting stopped the drawer from opening. There was no light over the mirror, which makes things difficult when trying to do certain things. The bathroom was small, again no light over the mirror. There were no hooks to hang towels on, the window opened onto another rooms balcony. Therefore had to be left shut. The water pressure is non exsistant, it took 30 minutes to wash your hair and there was no hot water. We will definitely not be returning here.

I’m not sure where to begin. We arrived around 9pm, to a very busy and loud bar area (you have to walk through the bar to reception) We got hackled off the entertainment for walking through, once at reception got greater by a Scottish gentleman, who seemed friendly enough. Took us to the bottom of the stairs of where our room was and that was it. Once in the room our hopes slipped a little further. Tatty decor, thread bare towels. Broken/dirty flooring in main living are and bed room. (Only saving grace was the bathroom was relatively new so seemed clean and tidy) Living space and bedroom were tatty and definitely in need of a lot of TLC. Air con is extra money, safe is extra money. There is no hair dryer, and the kitchenette is very very basic. There was very little to be pleased about in the room, unfortunately. We also found out the Jet2’s ‘close to nightlife’ meant its next door to a night club. And there’s another several bars (along with the hotel bar ‘friends’ being extremely loud) The night club is around about 10pm-5am working hours. The bar downstairs has loud entertainment also late into the night. So over all a really bad place to be if your looking for chilled out relaxing holiday. We also had issues with bedding and towels not being changed. After 4 nights we still didn’t have clean bedding or towels. So I went to reception asking for new towels and explained nothing had been changed. The lady was nice and explained we should have been changed every 3 nights and explained nothing had been done. The cleaners kept hanging our towels on the balcony! The cleaner then turned up within a few minutes apologised, told me there was someone off sick and had too much to do, replaced our towels and left. The next day (day 5) we came back to fresh bedding and that’s all we had within the week we were there. The swimming pool. Well what can I say. I wasn’t expecting to use the pool due to it being November but on first inspection I was 99% sure I would have died getting into it. It was green. And I mean green! The sun loungers around the pool seemed in poor condition off with the umbrellas. You also have to go through the car park to get to the pool as it’s in a tiny little back corner (weirdest pool placement I have ever know) However the pool did seem to get cleaned at some point during the week as I went over to have another look and looked like a little bit of TLC had been done. Honestly my overall opinion of this hotel is to avoid. The saving grace for it was the location as you were on the front of paphos within a 5 minute walk. But unfortunately Alecos has nothing else great to offer. We had a drink in the friends bar on a night(once) and on our departure day we had some food. The food was really quite good from the meal we had, but cannot comment on anything else. Staff seemed polite enough, but never felt welcomed by them. Unfortunately for me the hotel just wasn’t good. And I don’t understand the 3 star rating it receives at all.

Just had a weeks family holiday at alecos apartments in papthos great location easy to get all the other amenities the hotel its self was brilliant really pleasant and helpful staff the manager George was a star The rooms had everything you needed the shower needed a bit of an upgrade 🤷‍♂️The food in the restaurant was excellent the bar was stocked with a great range of local and inported drinks The pool was good but a bit in the shade at certain times of the day. But the whole holiday experience was spot on thanks to George and his staff The Roberts and Jardine families 👍

We booked this holiday as a last minute cheap get away as we had already had our main holiday earlier on in the year. Was apprehensive after reading the reviews. First impressions weren’t great of the hotel but after being met by the friendly staff, George and the women on reception are lovely and put my mind at ease. It became apparent the next morning, it wouldn’t be a holiday where we could lie around the pool with 2 kids all day, it’s very small with not much going on, some music may lighten the mood a little. I decide to hire a car and use it as a base to do more exploring than we would usually do. We would get back, the kids would have a hour or two in the pool and we would go out for tea and a few drinks. Friends bar what is directly downstairs have some good entertainment on and the food is pretty good. All the staff are pleasant. The restaurant next door is also very good! The rooms are pretty basic but have everything you need, few downsides is only being aircon in the bedroom and although the bathrooms are new and modern the water pressure of the shower is very poor. We stayed in block B and only had one night where I got woke up by the loud music. All in all we had a good week, although I wouldn’t really recommend the hotel for families who want a pool type holiday!

If you want a decent holiday don't stay here! Upon arrival at the hotel, we were extremely disappointed by the condition and quality of the accommodation provided. The room fell well below the standards advertised. The room did not resemble the website images or description in terms of space, cleanliness, or facilities. There was no proper balcony or window offering a view. We were put in room 101 block D. Glazed window with no view. Side window facing brick wall. Patio (if you can call it that) was only suitable for smoking on!!! (Not nice at all) The air conditioning was inadequate, leaving the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable. No additional fans provided. It felt like we were in some sort of sweat torture room!!! The swimming pool area appeared unhygienic. So much so we decided not to use it. The configuration of the accommodation is very strange walking through a car park to get to pool. Although I wouldn't really watch TV on holiday it is still nice to have the option of a TV, however the TV had no signal at all. Loud music could be heard from our room, so we could not rest well. Most disturbingly, the hotel manager greeted us by saying “Welcome to Fawlty Towers” and later remarked, “this is the last time I am being nice to you” when I struggled to carry my suitcase upstairs. This was not only unprofessional but made us feel deeply unwelcome. We stayed one night (total of 10 hours) and even that was too long! I had sourced different accommodation by 6am the next day! We couldn't wait to leave!!!! We had no choice if we wanted a decent holiday. Time is precious and I was not going waste my hard earned money & time on this place!!!! This was booked as a package deal but would not recommend this place at all. One star is one star too many! Avoid like the plague!!!!
