Pros and cons summary: Service 9/10, cleanliness 2/10, location 5/10, activities 7/10, food and drinks overall 6/10, examples below. 1. Service - Very kind personel, from bar to reception. Especially entertainers Dominika and I think the other girls name was Isabella/Liza. We checked out at 12.00 but flight after 12h, we were allowed to keep our room for 10e/h which was flexible and good for us. 2. Cleanliness - the new sheets had dirty marks on them everytime, in other words couldnt have been washed well. The room had mold on the roof. No insects. Nice bathroom. 3. Location - not that close to the better sand beaches, transportation necessary. There was a close beach nearby but wasnt a sand beach. 4. Activities - They have some activities during the day e.g watersports, at night dancers or kareoke, bingo, etc. 5. Food - we had all inclusive. Drinks 7/10. Food 5/10 not so much variation and lack of spices/salt and dessert most of the time had no taste so 3/10

AVOID!! this hotel has a severe lack of hygiene! they are trying to blame this on a stomach bug affecting the island but we had family and friends in other hotels and spoke to numerous other guests at other hotels, plus local staff who knew nothing about this so called bug. we paid for all inclusive and spent the whole week out of the hotel for fear of being ill. the family next door spent 6 of their 10 day holiday in the room unwell. the rims of the drinks dispensers for example were full of grime and mold and people were drinking from these - any wonder why people were ill!! if they had experts in like they claimed I’m sure this would flag up! there was sick splatter (not from us!!) in our room up our door and tiles that still hadn’t disappeared by the time we left! hairs on bedding when we arrived, stains on towels. the stairs were filthy and none of the floors were ever brushed let alone mopped. if you fancy a holiday from hell getting seriously ill from hygiene issues this is the hotel for you!

I don’t understand how this hotel can get 5 star reviews at all! Rooms are fine and most of the staff are friendly but don’t order a stay at this hotel if you expect a great All Inclusive holiday. Location is okay, 500m to nearest beach but I recommend going into the city centre for larger beaches. Food was pretty much the same everyday and every member of our Family had a few days with sickness (possibly due to bad hygiene and perhaps the same food being heated up over several days) Definitely wouldn’t recommend a stay at Papouis

Had the most amazing experience. The rooms were very modern, spacious and very very clean. Staff was always welcoming and kind, from reception to pool staff. The food was excellent: great variety at the buffet, and also stations at each meal serving freshly made pancakes, omelettes, grilled chicken and so on. Many cocktails to choose from in the pool bar and a beautiful outside space. Will be going back soon

Hotel itself was lovely spotlessly clean and Modern and always smelt nice, only 1 bar which was the pool bar, if there was enough staff, which wasn't very often, was okay, but always a long queue waiting no matter what time of day. This is no reflection on the barmen they worked very hard, just too many guests for one bar. The pool was nice but it was a fight for sunbeds unless you got up at 5 and played the German game. There were loads of sunbeds on the grass area but the 3 hours of sprinkles watering it made it a no go area! Food was the normal buffet style please everyone all the time! which got really boring after 3 or 4 days. All in all, hotel 4 stars, food 2 stars, pool 3 stars, sunbeds 1 star and bar 1 star.
