Information
Venus Beach successfully combines the modern with the comfortable and achieves a subtle blend of the modern day comfort, warm Cypriot hospitality and high standard of service and attention enjoyed in a 5-star Hotel.
Situated on the shoreline in the Kato Paphos area adjacent to the Tombs of the Kings, and ideally suited to the Guest, who seeks peace and comfort for the duration of his stay. Cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and souvenir shops can be found close by and it is just 2.5km from the
Paphos Town centre and a 5-minute drive from the picturesque harbour area. The lovely Coral Bay beach can be reached with a 15-minute drive. There is a bus stop just outside the Hotel grounds, and buses go by at regular intervals during the Summer and Winter months.
Venus Beach Hotel is now also a Green Hotel with an active Environmental Committee, green policies and a logo. Its aim is to generate interest on the sensitive issue of the protection of the environment, and to enforce policies for a pollution free environment.

We left the Sunset Garden hotel in Protaras for the Venus Beach Hotel (here) on 9 Aug 2025. The food has been very good, varied and freshly made.
Not so good has been:
-the almost total lack of evening entertainment
- a reluctance to provide a proper fridge for cooling drinks
- a peculiar rule that swimming in the pool has to end by 6pm
- a rule that guests are not allowed to lie on the beach beds after 7pm
- a sense that surrounding restaurants are very expensive. Compared to Protaras, a main course there costs €13-14 whereas around the Venus Beach it is more like €18-20.
The staff are pleasant here, but not warm. The Venus is a larger hotel and maybe that is the payoff.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days, and to be completely honest, it was an underwhelming experience. By day five, we looked into early flights home. Below is our honest feedback for future guests considering this hotel.
Room & maintenance issues:
Our room had mold in the bathroom and a leaking ceiling due to roof tiles that were never replaced. The ceiling was visibly damaged and deteriorating.
The sound insulation was very poor, we could hear everything from the hallway, the room next door (even lights being switched on and off), and footsteps or doors slamming upstairs.
There was a gap under the room door that let in hallway light at night, which was disturbing when trying to sleep.
Staff & service:
Reception was a bad experience. Suzy and Barbara were absolute standouts, they were friendly, helpful and clearly cared about their work. We’re genuinely thankful for the way they handled us and we could not thank them enough for making a big difference!
Unfortunately, our interactions with Ella at the reception were the opposite. She came across as uninterested and confrontational. There was no warm welcome or check-in on how our stay was when we left, it left us feeling unwelcome.
All-Inclusive limitations:
The all-inclusive offering was limited. The menu for both food and drinks lacked variety, and after 23:00 you have to pay, even if you’re on the all-inclusive plan.
Food options were repetitive, even when they said they offer a different menu option every day. It was mostly the same vegetables and meat dishes every day. Lunch and dinner felt nearly identical.
Dinner starts at 19:00, but by 21:00 the food (such as bread, meat and vegetables) was often dry, cold, and falling apart. The taste was inconsistent and sometimes unpleasant, with bitter spices covered up by unnecessary amounts of lime juice that was not supposed to be in the dish. On one occasion, we were even served undercooked chicken, it was still pink. (See pictures)
Facilities:
Many advertised facilities were either closed or in very poor condition. The gym was being renovated, which was clearly overdue (ser pictures). The gaming and fitness rooms were just a few pieces of old furniture stacked in a room, not functional or inviting. When you insert a coin in the arcade machines, most of the time they didn’t even work.
Pool hours were misleading; it closed an hour earlier than stated. At the pool bar, the older woman working often ignored guests.
One server at the Olive Bar behaved strangely; visibly sweating, unwell in appearance, and concerning enough that multiple guests commented on it.
Hotel rules & experience:
We understand the rule about not bringing outside food into the hotel. However, we were stopped and told to leave the premises just for walking in with a small bag to ask a question at the reception before heading off to the beach, not even to our room. This felt excessive and disrespectful.
In the restaurant, staff would ask if we were done eating while we were still having dinner. It created a rushed and uncomfortable atmosphere.
Overall impression:
The hotel is outdated and doesn’t live up to its advertised 5-star status. It needs major updates, better training for certain staff, and significant improvements in food quality and variety.
Sadly, everything else fell short, and we wouldn’t return or recommend it in its current state.
We’ve seen management replies to other reviews saying they would have appreciated it if guests had spoken up during their stay. But respectfully, it’s not the guest’s job to point out basic standards or teach staff how to run a hotel. When you book a holiday, you expect to relax, not to spend your time managing issues that should’ve been taken care of in the first place. Unfortunately, this stay felt more stressful than restful.

I read the reviews before to go and I was afraid about what would find when arrive to the hotel. It doesn't feel as 5 stars because we are use to see 5 stars hotels like Four Seasons, but for the price, it is good enough for a weekend, escaping from routine. The location is great and Venus beach is one of the best in Paphos. It has a nice walking path along the sea. View from room is also nice if you have sea view. Service is friendly and we were good attended during all our stay. Room was clean, and bed was big and comfortable but toilets were not from a 5 stars hotel. I mean, toilet has plastic covers, so, doesn't feel premium. Food (dinner and breakfast) was good enough. Food is tasty. I don't think people would have any bother about that because you have plenty of options to eat - but it is true that I missed some ice for my coffee (Freddo Espresso), so I took hot coffee, which I don't like on summer. Overall, my stay was nice and helped me to recover from my the working week. I agree that might not be a 5 stars hotel if you compare with other high class hotels, but it is good enough for spend some days out of routine.

This hotel is a cheap 5 star hotel. And the cost represents fair value. However, there is a lot of work needed and it looks like the management is working to a tight budget thus making the interior in places look more like a 3 star.
On arrival, I was given a piece of paper saying the rooms would not be cleaned until 10am… at 9am when I was still in bed asleep the cleaner walked in. The cleaners were also very noisy from 8am every day.
I will say the rooms themselves are nice, with a decent bed, although the bathroom not made for two people.
There is also not much in the area other than the hotel and a couple of restaurants. I stayed on the south side of Paphos in a 4 star hotel last week and it was much better.
I will say the beach 150m away is lovely and there is smooth sand getting into the sea.
The buffet food is also not great compared to the 4 star I went to last week. I didn’t go half board as I thought I would eat out.
There is a gym with a cross trainer, a rowing machine and a few free weights and that’s it.
The restaurant and bar staff were very nice and the reception seemed nice as well.

Exceptional Stay!
I recently stayed at Venus Beach Hotel, and it was a wonderful experience. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff made me feel genuinely welcome.
Our room was quiet, clean, and offered a lovely view!
The hotel has a great pool area with very polite and attentive staff. Everyone I interacted with — from reception to the restaurant team — was friendly, helpful, and truly committed to making guests feel valued.
One highlight of my stay was the breakfast — fresh, delicious, and with plenty of variety to suit all tastes.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality, comfort, and excellent service.
