Stayed in the marion for 1 week from the 3rd of May. This Hotel is an authentic Cypriot Hotel. Lovely location - 5 minute walk from all amenities, 10 minutes from the beach and beautiful view from the balcony. This hotel is located in what I would call a real Cypriot town, yes there is a bit of noise but in a small town with the locals still working that will happen, plus you get that anywhere you stay. The two men that own and work here are the most helpful hosts I've had, we weren't just a number for the week they got to know us and helped us with their local knowledge. If you want a brand new Hotel with 24 hour room service and to go partying every night this is not the place for you. If you want a lovely location and to be treated like you actually matter you should stay here.
I've seen other reviews about the host being rude, Michael the man that works the front desk is a super helpful person who actually cares, so show him respect and kindness like we did and I'm sure he will be lovely to you too.
I will definitely stay here again

The manager and his brother who run the Marion are both lovely people, very welcoming and they are the primary reason I am giving the Marion 4 Stars. They were extremely helpful towards me when I visited in the off season.
At the time I stayed, the hotel had been converted into an asylum center, but I'm sure thats only going to be a temporary thing and it's probably something that was imposed by the government so not managements fault.
Management have everything under control and whilst the migrants are not housed in a separate area, it seemed to me like management have hand picked the most polite English speaking migrants to stay. Amongst them they were mostly adults, very few children.
I would definitely recommend the Marion, I had a clean bed, hot water and a supermarket right across the street.

Very old and smelly place.
Read the small printed, Air-conditioning is only included into the rate in August or 5euro per day. It's not about to pay 5euro more for me but this cheating to the customer is a shame

Area Information/Places of Interest
Polis is a small town, 37 km from Paphos on the northwest coast. It is still essentially a village with a pedestrian-only village square.
Children happily play around the small fountain while parents relax with a coffee and while away the hours. There are numerous tavernas and restaurants in and around the square. Its full name is Polis is Chrysochous, which means "City of the Golden Land" after the fertile land that surrounded the area. Polis retains a laid back, calm and relaxed pace and atmosphere. From the centre of Polis, it’s only a ten-minute stroll to the local beach. Polis is the new destination west of Cyprus (the sleepy laid town of the bay of Chryssochous).
The area offers a wide range of attractions to suit most people needs. Guests can try a walk along the paths of Akamas peninsula to Cap Arnaouti or even a touch of mountain biking. The climate in Polis is healthy with mild winters and cool summer nights.
Polis town is situated 37 kilometres away from Paphos International Airport right at the entrance to the Akamas peninsula. Polis town is a good reason for all seasons.
Latchi (also known locally as Lakki or Latsi) was formerly a sponge diving centre and is now a tranquil, slow-paced harbour resort. It is the last resort on the northwest coast, before entering the protected Akamas National Park. The newly modernised harbour is beautifully situated in the sweeping Chrysochou bay. It has a fringe of excellent fish tavernas and asking for "the catch of the day" is a fish lovers delight. This area is perfect for organised scuba diving with many local diving centres. Latchi is only a 5-minute drive from the traditional resort of Polis.
