Information
Cyprus Villages Agrotourism provides traditional hotel holiday apartments in Cyprus since 1988.
Cyprus Villages offers you the unique opportunity to live in a traditional stone-built village home. Stroll along the narrow cobbled paths to the village square, have a coffee with the locals and settle into an easy-going Mediterranean lifestyle that respects and nurtures timeless traditions.
Cyprus Villages was established in 1988 by Sofronis Potamitis, in an effort to revive rural communities and preserve the traditional houses of bygone days. With loving care, several abandoned family houses in the villages of Tochni, Kalavasos and Psematismenos were thoroughly renovated to provide comfort without sacrificing their original, rustic character and are all licensed by the Cyprus Tourism Organization.

We stayed in one of the Danae house apartments late March 26 and had a lovely holiday. It was our birthday break and we were very spoilt, thank you so much. Each apartment is different in lay out, we stayed in 5. The bed was very comfortable and shower was hot and powerful, the shutters block the light well for the bedroom. There was air con and heating, the small pool isnt heated so we didn't use it but it was lovely to sit on the terrace in the evenings. There is not a tv. Wifi was strong. The kitchen equipment is basic but we just asked and got what we needed to make basic meals. The owner was very responsive and staff in the tavern were lovely, everyone was very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Amazing breakfasts were served in the tavern and were vaired everyday. The tavern also served lovely meals and got very busy on the weekend evenings. Theres a larger pool at the tavern. The location was a great base to drive around the island from but you really need a car for a longer stay. There's a main supermarket a short drive away. The views from the tavern area were beautiful. Google maps doesn't take you a direct route but its well signposted from the village so trust the signs over the map. There's plenty of parking at the tavern which is next to Danae house. It is a quiet area. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Cyprus Villages. Location was wonderful and right in the heart of Tochni (our favorite village). There was plenty of parking available for our car (I would strongly recommend renting a car to stay here and for Cyprus in general). The room itself was comfortable with a separate kitchen and breakfast each morning was wonderful. The owner and staff were fantastic - we were also able to purchase some local olive oil and honey at the hotel to share with our friends and family back home. If you're looking for a relaxed, non-touristy stay with wonderful hospitality, I would highly recommend staying here!

Just returned from a week in one of the apartments. Location was stunning and well away from the touristy areas of Cyprus. The Apartment had all the facilities needed to be self-sufficient. Experienced an issue with no hot water, it was quickly resolved (Thank you Angela). If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing break, close enough to the motorways for sightseeing, but far enough away to have a bit of peace and quiet, then book yourself some time in one of the apartments you won't regret it. BTW if you do want to explore Cyprus, you will need a car but the location is ideal to visit most of what's on offer. Enjoy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A place you almost want to keep secret -
Some places are difficult to describe because they are more a feeling than a destination this is one of them.
We booked our stay spontaneously and arrived without expectations, only to discover a peaceful retreat that immediately slows you down. Surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place to disconnect from everyday noise and reconnect with what truly matters.
It is ideal for families, nature lovers, and especially for busy professionals looking for a quiet escape or even an inspiring setting for focused work or small retreats.
The absence of mass tourism makes this place incredibly special. Everything feels authentic, calm, and personal.
The taverna completes the experience beautifully: excellent cuisine, attentive service, and a carefully selected wine list that invites you to stay longer than planned.
As frequent travelers, we rarely return to the same place twice but this will definitely become one of our regular hideaways.
A true hidden gem.

Our stay at Cyprus Villages and dining experience at Tochni Tavern were nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, Sotronis and his wonderful team welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality, creating a true sense of family and belonging.
Our villa was immaculately clean, comfortable, and offered breathtaking views over the charming village and surrounding hills. Each morning, our walk to breakfast through the peaceful stone paths was a highlight — a simple yet memorable ritual that made us feel part of the village rhythm.
Breakfasts and dinners on the tavern's terrace were unforgettable — a perfect mix of delicious, authentic Cypriot cuisine and the serene beauty of the setting. Sofronis even surprised us with a special new menu dish, which was absolutely delightful and full of flavour.
It's rare to find a place that captures the true heart of Cyprus the way Tochni does. Between the stunning views, the spotless accommodations, and the heartfelt hospitality, we left feeling refreshed, cared for, and already eager to return.
