The New Helvetia Hotel has a 100-years family-owned history sited in the heart of Troodos mountains.
Hosted in an 1929 stone building, New Helvetia Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Cyprus, ran by the 4th generation of owners and offers free WiFi, and on-site fitness facilities. It is located in Pano Platres, at the foot of the Troodos Mountains. Platres Athletic Centre can be reached within a 5-minute drive. Trooditissa Monastery is a 10-minute drive away.
The hotel's building has been listed as the EU cultural heritage and has been renovated due to the regulations of historical buildings. In September 2021 the hotel has been approved by the government of the Republic of Cyprus as a listed hotel. Our premises include 25 Elegant Rooms, 8 Maisonettes Suites, and 6 Self-Catering Studios, each with a beautiful view over the Pine Forest of Platres or towards the picturesque courtyards, offering a comfortable home to guests from all over the world.
The New Helvetia Hotel is situated in the very heart of Cyprus. The personal service available in the hotel satisfies the most distinguished clientele. An elegant restaurant the Veranda serves high-quality creations of local cuisine with a legendary reputation all over the world. The Pine Tree Bar, with a real pine tree in the middle of the room, is best known as a fashionable rendezvous for the society of Cyprus.

Booked a 1 night trip to platres from Paphos,expecting okay not nice just okay but the rooms where clean and tidy.There was a weord smeel in tje hallways and also the break fast and dinner where the poorest quality of food,we also saw a peice of mold growing on a slice of bread

I stayed at New Helvetia Hotel and had a wonderful experience. I was upgraded upon arrival, which was a lovely surprise and immediately made me feel welcome.
The hotel has a unique old-world charm: beautiful, aristocratic interiors, vintage furniture, and a cosy atmosphere that feels full of history and character. It’s not a typical modern hotel, but rather a place with real personality.
Room service is quite limited, but for me it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
Perfect choice if you’re looking for something quiet, and truly special in the mountains.

We had a wonderful stay at New Helvetia Hotel. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, which made the whole experience comfortable and relaxing. The location is excellent — peaceful, scenic, and perfectly situated in the heart of the mountains. The service was also outstanding; the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall, a great choice

A hotel with lots of character and history nestled amongst mature pine trees on the outskirts of Platres. The staff are polite, very helpful and accommodating. My wife and I stayed in a maisonette suite with recently refitted modern bathroom with shower. Air conditioning was also available. A small balcony overlooked the external terrace area. The continental style self service breakfast was good with a selection cereals, breads, cheese, yogurt, fried and hard boiled eggs. This is not a modern glitzy hotel but one with a heritage and old world charm. We made use of the bar facilities which is comprehensively stocked with a good knowledge of cocktails! My wife and I will certainly pay another visit in the spring of 26.

It's not just a hotel it's an experience. Me and my family loved everything about this place the sound, the view, the smile of the wooden interiors. It's a family run hotel and the staff and owners are helpful and amazing. The view is stunning, and you feel you are nesting between the trees. Breakfast is limited but the quality is high which is perfect for this type of experience. I would like to thank Mr. George for the great welcome and would definitely come back again.

The a la carte restaurant serves mouth watering dishes by our chef and his team on its open-air terrace with spectacular views of the Forest of Platres. The panorama view invite you to a happy relaxing atmosphere.
Pine Tree Bar
Slip onto an inviting sofa and savour a hot drink or a glass of our exquisite wine selection or even an after-dinner cocktail while enjoying the gentle rhythms of ambient music. A 250 years old pine tree growing through the roof is the centrepiece of the bar, which also features an ancient brick fireplace.
Social Lounge
For a light, casual meal, the Social Lounge offers a rich selection of freshly made sandwiches and homemade soups to recharge energy levels between various activities. From sunrise to sunset, sip refreshing cocktails, freshly brewed coffee, local herbal teas amidst lush gardens and the magnificent view.
