Recently returned back from a family vacation here. Rooms were dirty and outdated and very basic, fittings and fixtures were either broken, rusty, or hanging off the wall or ceilings, we asked for a different room and raised our concerns and complaint with reception staff and nothing was done about it, as apparently there were no other rooms available. even when we requested to see a manager nobody was available. also dispute the pools meant to be clean there were cracks in the tiles, pool steps were unsafe and loose also various bugs and cockroaches floating in the pool. Food menu for full board meals were very basic and bland and they all were similar meals just renamed. Breakfast was a basic continental breakfast Lunch menu we were only made aware of our last day we were able to have Dinner menu was very much the same every night renamed with different dishes. Also at breakfast at the side of the juice and water machines you can find ants and other bugs floating in the buckets. Not hygienic and doesn’t have basic food hygiene safety. Despite our best efforts we still wasn’t able to speak to a manger about our situation or stay we were basically fobbed off. We are very distressed and disappointed with our stay with this hotel. The only plus thing it has going for it is some great views and close to some local attractions and bars and restaurants where we mainly ate out from as the food was not great. We would like someone from the hotel management team to reply to this message since they haven’t responded to any of my questions or emails.

Our experience at Kissos Hotel was quite mixed, leaning more towards the negative. The hotel has two very pleasant and well-maintained swimming pools, and it is convenient that guests can leave their luggage in a closed room after check-out. Parking was also a positive point, with plenty of spaces available for the number of vehicles during our stay. However, the location is not particularly convenient, as having a car is practically necessary to reach the beaches or the city centre. The hotel itself is quite dated and clearly needs maintenance and renovation. The cleanliness of the common areas could also be improved, and the staff could be a little friendlier and more welcoming. Our biggest disappointment was related to the room. We had booked a pool-view room, but were initially given a different room without any explanation. Only after returning to reception were we told that no pool-view room was available and that we had therefore been given a supposedly superior room instead. The lack of communication resulted in room changes and meant that we lost almost an entire day of our holiday dealing with this situation. Another negative point is that both the in-room safe and the mini-fridge require an additional daily charge, which I find disappointing for a hotel of this category. Overall, there are some positive aspects, particularly the swimming pools, parking and luggage storage. However, the dated facilities, the need for a car, the cleanliness of the common areas, the additional charges and, above all, the poor communication regarding our room reservation made our stay less enjoyable than expected.

We recently stayed at the Kissos Hotel, and while it did the job for our trip, there are definitely a few practical things worth knowing before you book. ​Starting with the room, it definitely feels a bit dated. Plug sockets are few and far between, not even by our beds, and there are no USB charging ports anywhere, so packing an extension lead is an absolute must. The air con works well enough, but you have to make sure the balcony door is clicked completely shut or it simply won't turn on. Also, you only get one physical key per room. The moment you remove it to head out, all the power cuts off, which meant walking back into a baking hot room every single evening. On the plus side, the shower had good pressure, and the cleaning team was lovely. Electra in particular was so kind and helpful to us throughout our stay. WiFi was very poor in our room, again a few people moaned how poor it was. ​Out by the pool, things were mostly good. The pools were kept clean and tidy with daily maintenance, and it felt fairly relaxed overall. Finding a sunbed wasn't a nightmare either, even if you came down around 9 in the morning, there were still a few free options. My main concern here was that I never once saw a lifeguard on duty. ​As for the poolside daytime entertainment, like the water polo and aqua aerobics, the lady running it was way too pushy. She really would not take no for an answer, to the point where several guests ended up getting into arguments with her. If you just want to read your book in peace, you might need to stand your ground. ​At the pool bar, the service was fast and they had a decent selection of local beers like Keo alongside standard spirits. You definitely have to try the coffee slushy, it is amazing. Just keep an eye on what you are being charged though. We and a few other guests noticed that whenever the bar got really busy, they mysteriously started raising the prices on drinks. ​Food wise, we only ate breakfast at the hotel. It was very basic and we definitely expected a bit more variety, but it was enough to fill a gap before heading out for the day. You also can't eat food bought outside, by the pool, management frown on it 🙄 ​Location is a huge plus point for this hotel. You have loads of great local shops, bars, and places to eat right on your doorstep. If you are looking for top recommendations nearby, Pitstop and Tramps are both brilliant spots. ​So would we stay here again? Maybe if it was just the two of us looking for a quick getaway, but we definitely wouldn't come back as a family.

ignore the negative reviews We have just returned from a week at the Kissos Hotel Our room was fine, matching cabinets, very spacious, shower was fine, had a great flow. One let down was you have to pay for your fridge & safe which was 5 euros per day & kettle which was 3.50 per day unless you have a superior room Cleaners always cleaning our room & around the hotel Swimming pool perfect, it was like a bath some days with it being so hot, met some lovely people Plenty of choice at breakfast Great location, lovely restaurants nearby, recommend Tea for Two, Cocos on Tim's of the Kings & Puinguino at the harbour Would definitely return

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We had a superior room. The room was cleaned every day and Ali and all the cleaning staff were polite, friendly and worked really hard. The front of house staff were also polite and friendly and Tina went above and beyond to help. The pool area was clean and relaxing. At breakfast you could always find something suitable. The restaurant staff and bar staff were all polite and happy to help. The prices in the bar were similar to local bars. The gym was good to use and the entertainment lady was fantastic at the aqua aerobics each day.
