Arrival:
We had a delay and were an hour late, the driver from the hotel transfer was extremely rude and kinda weird - he asked the people waiting for the bus to bring them to their hotel (“for 20€ I drive you”). We felt bad because he waited so long and gave a tip, even though the hotel can see the delay.
Since we were late, we didn’t get a dinner, not even a compensation - we will ask if we can get the money back for it.
We tried to explore the hotel and activities: they definitely need to work on some things.
- indoor pool was cold and not good taking cared of
- should have some fun stuff at the hotel complex, only sunbathing could keep you there but nothing else
- tennis place was worn down and not really welcome-looking
Noises and room:
We heard every time the other rooms were on the toilet or brushing their teeth. The party boat from the harbour is extremely loud. People outside the doors sound like they’re in your room. Busy road so traffic sounds here and there.
Room was otherwise okay - to sleep in. Lights could be better. Bathroom door was hard to open from inside the bath. The AC is good if you put it in “automatic” otherwise you will freeze. View was pretty.
Service:
We like to not be spoken to while eating, so we were a bit annoyed when we got asked every 2-3 minutes if everything was okay at dinner. If you like that that’s fine.
Receptionists were good, they kept it simple and were nice.
Definitely read the paper they give you about the cleaning habits there otherwise you might be surprised how this is a 4-star hotel (you might be one way or another regardless).
Location:
A lot of buses so you can get everywhere in Paphos. But you can also walk everywhere, we walked to the King Avenue Mall and back. Definitely get a daily ticket for the buses because you can get around easily im Paphos and see almost all of Paphos in a day. The Harbour is reachable through walking and taking the bus.
Returning:
The same driver picked us up as on our arrival. He was mad or something because we were again only 2 people and tried to get other people to drive with us. We almost said that we rather want to take the bus to the airport if it was so inconvenient to him. Later we realised he was also mad because the other couple he had to pick up wasn’t there when he got here (he was like 20 minutes too early). Even after they were in the bus he was pissed.
If we ever go back here we definitely will be taking the bus to the hotel and to the airport.
The cats were definitely the best part!
We chose this hotel based on the appealing photos and many positive reviews but were unfortunately disappointed. Our expectations were by no means excessive – yet we found many of the glowing reviews difficult to understand.
Room & Facilities:
The room was clean, which we credit to the housekeeping team. However, the furnishings were very worn and lacked any sense of care or charm. The spring mattress was extremely firm and uncomfortable, resulting in back pain. Several elements, such as the towel rack and the shower screen, were loose or not functioning properly.
Noise levels were a major issue: traffic noise, especially the loud acceleration of motorbikes, was clearly audible well past midnight. The room door was not insulated and had a visible gap along the floor, allowing additional noise from the hallway to enter. Overall, there was practically no soundproofing – which is particularly problematic given the hotel’s location near a busy road. We could also hear noise from adjacent rooms during the night, which made it difficult to rest. In addition, a buzzing LED reading light behind the bed added to the disturbance.
Restaurant:
The food was generally okay – both breakfast and dinner were acceptable in terms of taste, but certainly not what we would consider 4-star quality. The restaurant manager and staff were friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. However, the overall atmosphere was underwhelming: many of the chairs were visibly dirty, a freezer stood in the middle of the room, and the decor was very bare and uninspired – more reminiscent of a rented catering hall than a welcoming hotel restaurant.
Wellness & Fitness:
The indoor pool was not inviting – both the water and air temperature were uncomfortably cold. The small gym in the basement also left a poor impression. While the equipment itself seemed functional, the environment and the way there felt neglected and unappealing.
Conclusion:
The hotel certainly has potential, but overall it feels outdated and poorly maintained. Many areas are in urgent need of renovation or at least a more thoughtful touch. Guests expecting a cohesive and well-cared-for experience may find themselves disappointed. For us, this was not a 4-star experience – we decided to switch to a 5-star property after just two nights.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Amphora Hotel & Suites, and I can't recommend it enough. The breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea were unforgettable, and the peaceful ambience made it the perfect getaway. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the harbour and local landmarks, yet blissfully serene. The staff were warm and attentive, and the facilities, from the beautiful pool to the delicious restaurant, exceeded my expectations. It truly was a memorable experience!
Great location close to sea and 15minutes walk from the harbour. Very good service, rooms cleaned everyday. Good selection for breakfast. One star less for acoustics, you can hear noise from other rooms. Also internal pool was dated but we were outside of the holiday season.

There isn't much not to like in hotels like these, but one thing did bother me. I booked room with sea view. It can be clearly seen on pictures that sea can be seen, not much philosophy there.
Apartments are on three "levels" (floors).First will give you pool view. Second and third will provide sea view. For some reason, I was given first one.
That is clearly not what I booked and lady at the reception "argued" without any argument. Later, we had a nice chat on other topics, but I don't buy those kind of explanations. My stay was great as I spent time on the promenade and next to the beach, but this should be warning for those who pay for "sea view". Do not accept anything lower than the first or second level (floor). Enjoy your stay, it's hard not to.

Location
The hotel enjoys a prime location, just a 10’ drive from Paphos International Airport, a 7’ walk from the historical castle and harbour, and a 20’ drive from the local golf courses. The lively atmosphere of the area offers a wide range of facilities, shops, bars, restaurants, nightlife and attractions.
The spectacular location guarantees an unobstructed view of the coast.
This is one of the most attractive and least developed stretches of coastline in Paphos, thanks to its proximity to the historically important Paphos mosaics, some of the best-preserved Roman remains in Europe. Yet amazingly, all of the amenities of Paphos are within easy reach of the villa.
It is an easy walk to a choice of great beaches, while a short stroll along the stunning new boardwalk brings visitors to the restaurants and shops of Paphos Harbour. The villas benefit from excellent transport links along the coast towards the sandy beaches of Coral Bay and attractions such as the Paphos Bird Park.
