We booked half board for this so-called 5-star hotel, paying around 2,500 euros just for the upgrade from breakfast to half board – and honestly, it’s not even close to being worth it. The food is consistently bad across all dining options: underseasoned, bland, and lacking any real thought or flavor.
To make matters worse, there’s a strict dress code: men over 15 must wear long trousers in the main restaurant – a rule that was not clearly mentioned during booking. Most guests only packed one pair of long pants (often the ones they wore on the flight), which they now have to wear over and over again just to be allowed to eat there.
Even then, the restaurant is usually empty – understandably, since the food is poor. Buffets are only offered twice per week, and while slightly better, they’re still not good. Staff also monitor how much food you put on your plate, creating a tense and uncomfortable vibe.
As for the à la carte option – it’s honestly misleading to even call it that. You don’t get a full menu to choose from. There are just two fixed options: Option A or B, and both are just as disappointing as the rest.
Service is cold and unmotivated, which only adds to the overall frustration.
Considering the price for half board alone, the overall experience was extremely poor. The hotel may look nice on the outside, but the food and service fall far below any reasonable 5-star standard. I won’t be coming back and cannot recommend it to anyone expecting quality or comfort.

Grecian Bay Hotel has an excellent location, right on the beach, and that allows you to have a real holiday. Staff is very friendly and helpful, though waiters in the restaurants are not so easy to communicate to in English ☺️ one thing that surprised us is very high pitched tone coming from the door of a downstairs common toilette, and the fact that you hear it every time someone enters that toilette, which is like every few minutes...can be a bit annoying, and am surprised that the issue had not been resolved during our stay. Apart from that, breakfast is pretty good, you have all types of options- ham, eggs, cheese, fish, fruit, veggies, cyprus pastries, fresh juice, variety of coffees...only thing is that, it is all the same every day. Regarding dinner, we were not allowed in the main restaurant due to the fact that my partner did not wear long pants 😆 but we went to Fisherman's Hut which is a nice and romantic place, but food could, and should be better. Not worth the money and sadly, not on the 5 star hotel level. Overall, we loved our stay, the rooms are nice and the entrance to the hotel is very beautiful and elegant, so to say. Also, the cleaning service is awesome!

The hotel is really nice. Rooms are great. It has a beautiful pool and a marvellous private beach. Food is average.
Service is also average. When some of the staff can be so good some can be almost rude.
About the food, fish restaurant was good. Breakfast is below average quality products.
Overall we enjoyed from the hotel. Because of the beautiful private beach and the relax atmosphere. Everywhere the volume of music was so correct. It was not full with kids. So it's provide peaceful beautiful holiday.
If they will improve their food and beverage quality they will be perfect. For example we couldn't find nice caffeine and alcohol free drinks. Like lemonade for example:)

The Grecian Bay is just paradise. I have just returned from a short 7 day holiday and already looking to rebook later in the year.
The hotel delivers everything you expect from a 5* rating and more.
The staff are exceptional.

Little wonder I have stayed here over 50 times since the 1990s.
