This was the most terrible hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
It was dirty, extremely noisy, and the staff were impolite and arrogant — which was disappointing, especially since they were Asian like me. Sadly, they showed no manners or professionalism.
The hotel itself is in awful condition. At night, we could barely sleep due to the noise, and worse, there were cockroaches and bed mites in the room. It was disgusting.
Honestly, this hotel should be shut down. I don’t understand how they’re still operating.
There are plenty of other hotels nearby that are clean, well-priced, and much more decent. Unfortunately, the online advertisements for this place are completely misleading and far from the truth.
The whole place feels creepy — like something out of a horror movie. It’s like staying in a serial killer’s hideout. Is it haunted or what?
There was no Wi-Fi, the towels were like rags, and the room had a horrible smell.
This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.
I seriously can’t wait for the day this place gets shut down. Avoid at all costs.

During my recent trip, I chose this hotel based on the great reviews, and I wasn’t disappointed. The check-in process was quick, and the staff made me feel welcome right away. My room was spotless and well-equipped with everything I needed, including a powerful air conditioner, which was essential during the hot summer days. The free Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, perfect for catching up on work emails. I especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city, a perfect spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The hotel restaurant had a diverse menu with tasty local and international dishes. Location-wise, it was close to public transport and several attractions, which made getting around easy. I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and stress-free stay.

The hotel has the feel of a former Soviet-era property. It may have been decent in the past, but now it resembles more of an elderly care home that moonlights as a hotel.
Our first room had a strong unpleasant odor and the air conditioning didn’t work properly, so we asked to switch. The second room was better in terms of smell and the AC functioned well, but there was mold in the cabinet, making it unusable for storing clothes.
There was no mini-fridge in the room, which was disappointing. Sleeping conditions were acceptable, but I wouldn’t recommend this place for families.
On the plus side, the location is convenient—close to a large supermarket, several 24-hour shops, and public transportation. The property also features a nice pool area (which we didn’t use) and offers a simple breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, butter, and toasted bread.
Unfortunately, when we asked for fresh towels, the staff refused, saying it wasn’t possible.
With proper renovation and better service, this hotel has the potential to improve significantly. It’s commendable that they employ elderly staff, but the place would really benefit from some younger help to assist with maintenance and modernization.

Quirky & quaint hotel still in the 80's. Free car parking, excellent location for sea front. Girl on front desk was welcoming & helpful. Room would benefit from some TLC, pool available but too cold. Foyer decor very eclectic, with some superb paintings on display.

So you wanna stay in a haunted house for the hell of it, but there aren't any in the area? You're in luck! This hotel is worse than any haunted house you can possibly imagine!
Do you wanna get yelled at for having the nerve to ask for a room that doesn't have bugs in it? You're in the right place! Do you wanna to swim in a green, dirty pool? Sylva has you covered! Enjoy live shows every morning, consisting of the owners yelling at some poor customer for whatever reason. They have 24 hour buffets open, right in your room. Though they aren't for you, rather for the bugs you'll be sharing a room with.
But in all seriousness, avoid this hotel at all costs. Me and my sister had the hotel booked for 7 nights, but left during the third one to find another hotel. We couldn't bear the dirty rooms, bugs and unpleasant staff. After the first night we asked them to solve the bug problem, and they didn't. Went back to complain the next morning and were handed an empty bottle of bug spray to take care of the issue ourselves. Day after that, I had a massive fight with one of the owners when we asked the remaining 4 nights to be refunded.
Eventually we did get our money back for the 4 nights, but for some reason I had to prove that I had booked a different hotel to stay in? The only positive thing about this place is the location. You won't find another hotel in that area, unless you're looking to spend a lot more. But really, I'd much rather drive for 20 minutes to get to the beach than stay there. Oh, and there was ONE nice staff member. An Asian lady, who is overworked and underpaid. Bless her, she really was nice and deserves better than to work in a place like this.
Will not be coming back. I'd rather find a comfy pile of dirt and sleep there.
