Exactly what a family holiday should be
We stayed at Adams Beach with our two kids and honestly, it's hard to fault this place.
The lazy river was the biggest hit with the kids — it has an actual current that spins you around, and even us adults ended up going round more times than we'd admit. There are also two water slides for the braver ones, open twice a day (morning and again around 4pm) and included in your stay, no extra charge.
We had one of the renovated rooms and it was genuinely impressive — ambient lighting in the room and bathroom, electric curtains, everything controlled from a panel next to the bed. The older rooms have the same layout and size, just a slightly dated design, but still perfectly fine. What I really appreciated is that both room types have bunk beds, so a family of 4 fits in one room — at most 5-star hotels you'd be forced into booking a second room. Mattresses are on the soft side and the pillows were actually comfortable, which is rare.
Because of the way the hotel is built, pretty much every room gets a side or front sea view. No paying extra for an "upgrade" — you just get it.
The staff deserve a special mention. You can tell excellence is drilled into them — every single person we dealt with, from restaurant to pool to reception, went that extra bit further. A smile, a recommendation for something special, remembering the kids' names. We kept waiting to find the one grumpy exception and never did.
Location is a huge plus. You're in Ayia Napa, and Nissi Beach — arguably the best beach in Cyprus — is walking distance. The beach directly in front of the hotel has some rocks and is a bit tricky to get into the water, but a little further along there's a stair railing that takes you in past the rocks. The water there is clean, calm and basically exclusive to the hotel, so you get the best of both worlds: family quiet in front of the hotel, or the buzz and parties of Nissi ten minutes away. You choose the mood.
Evenings were sorted without ever leaving the hotel — fire shows, dancers, parrot shows, live singers. Great for kids from about 3 up to early teens. The kids club itself could use some improvement, but the night entertainment more than makes up for it. If you're a family of 4, half board is the sweet spot: dinner buffet plus the evening show and your night is complete.
Food overall is excellent — the buffet is genuinely good and the à la carte restaurants are a step up again. Prices are on the high side if you're not on half board, but that's a 5-star hotel for you, and when you factor in not needing taxis or buses to go eat elsewhere, staying in usually wins. We barely left, and didn't feel like we missed anything.
Will come next year again.
I had a very pleasant stay at Adams Beach Hotel overall and would give it 4 out of 5 stars.
The hotel’s location is excellent, right next to one of the most beautiful beaches in Ayia Napa, and the hotel grounds are spacious, well-maintained, and very attractive. The service was also friendly and professional throughout my stay.
However, there are a few aspects that I don’t think meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. At the buffet dinner, even water had to be paid for separately, which I found quite disappointing for a hotel of this category.
In addition, the elevator in the west wing is not well maintained. It feels very stuffy, and while I can understand not having air conditioning, there isn’t even proper ventilation. The hallways leading to the rooms are also not air-conditioned, which makes them quite uncomfortable during the hot summer months.
Despite these issues, I enjoyed my stay. Thanks to the excellent location, beautiful hotel grounds, and good service, I would still recommend the hotel, but I believe there is room for improvement in these areas.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I honestly do not understand how this hotel has a five-star rating. In my opinion, it barely deserves three stars.
From the moment we arrived, our rooms were very dirty. The floors, mirrors, bathroom, bed linen, and towels were not clean. Even after asking reception three days in a row to clean our room properly, nothing changed.
Today, after speaking with the manager, I was promised that the problem would finally be solved. I specifically asked for a different housekeeper because I had completely lost confidence in the previous one.
Instead, the same housekeeper came to our room and started arguing with me. She told me that the dirty bed sheets were not her problem because that was what she had been given. She was rude and completely unprofessional.
I went back to the manager and again asked him to send a different housekeeper. Instead of listening to me, he became irritated and insisted that she was “the best cleaner.” He even wanted me to go back to the room with him and explain what was wrong. I had already explained everything several times. I came here to relax, not to spend my holiday proving that my room was dirty.
The problems are not limited to the rooms. The restaurant was dirty, the food was disappointing, the corridors were never properly cleaned, and there was dirt and sand everywhere.
This hotel is nowhere near the standard of a five-star resort. The service, cleanliness, and attitude of the staff were extremely disappointing.
I would never stay here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pretty new resort just next to Nissi beach. Actually all borough around Nissi is almost brand new. One of the few which has own beach, however not something wow (nevertheless Nissi is 200 meters away). The biggest problem with Nissi for me is really shallow water. Nevertheless, this is a 5 star resort, quite big. There’s no fence, though, so everyone can access the beach (just thinking of parents with really small kids, so, not full security like mode). Food is nice (half board in our case). Nice beach bar and great fancy roof launch. So, worth of trying although not isolated resort.

Loved this hotel! Stayed in a suite right next to the pool and it was perfect. Huge space, kept perfectly clean each day. The staff were always extremely helpful and friendly and they were a credit to this hotel. The pool area was very large and quiet (we went 20th april) always plenty of beds. The beach bar serves amazing cocktails and food, as does the glasshouse, top floor restaurant. Very good location for nearby restaurants and approx 30min walk to the centre of ayia napa, taxis are plentiful and cheap if you do not wish to walk. We would definitely return here
