|Also known as Petra tou Romiou, this is known as the birthplace of the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite.
This is situated on the coastal road from the city of Paphos to Limassol, and according to myth Aphrodite was born from the waves hitting the shoreline.
This is one of the most visited tourist spot on the island, especially known for its beauty.
Swimming is largely discouraged as the sea is quite rough in this area, however strong swimmers will venture in now and again. The beach is a pebbly beach as well, some would advise to wear shoes/sandals when visiting. The area is perfectly suited for a picnic, with beautiful views of the Mediterranean and the foamy waves breaking upon the shores.
There is a restaurant nearby, as well as a gift shop selling various trinkets; there is also a nature trail for those up for a hike.
