Paphos For Couples
The Love Goddess Cyprus is not known as the island of love for nothing, especially as it is the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. According to legend, the goddess emerged out of the foam at “Petra tou Romiou” – do yourselves a favour and drive along the coastal road between Paphos and Limassol and you will see this magnificent rock with its swirls of foam around it. You’ll understand how the legend arose once you’ve seen it. In fact, the sea there is quite beautiful and we would recommend spending some quiet time together, indulging in the warm waters blessed by the goddess of love herself.
Sunset Beach When it comes to sunsets though, nothing beats the views from Coral Bay, which is about a ten minute drive westwards from Paphos on the coastal road. This is one of the best beaches in Paphos and once you’ve watched the sun set here, no other sunset will ever quite be the same. The colours change from bright yellow to a burnt orange and finally to a huge red fireball and sharing this moment with your partner will probably make you fall in love all over again.
Spa Tonic Treat each other to a few spa treatments; being relaxed promotes a feeling of peace and love and by all accounts after spending some time at the word class spas in Paphos, you won’t be able to help feeling the love.
Sail Away with Me For the ultimate indulgence though, you could try hiring the private yacht from the Anassa; in fact this resort hotel, set on a cliff top overlooking a private beach in the Latsi area is probably the ultimate testament to romance. Not only is the spa world class, but having a glass or two of champagne on their sunset terrace is simply an otherworldly experience. But the ultimate romantic gesture would be to hire the yacht for a few hours of privacy, with a picnic hamper provided by the hotel.
