With its crystal clear waters and white sand, Nissi Beach is gorgeous to look at and a great place to chill out and work on your tan. It has a selection of places to eat and drink, various waters ports including jet skis, banana boats and pedal boats. It also boasts a diving centre, a volleyball court and of course, toilets, showers and changing rooms.
During the summer, from May until October, beach parties are held at the Nissi Bay Beach Bar featuring some of Ayia Napa's best known DJ's as well as international guest artists and celebrities. In early November the sun loungers are packed away and the waters ports put on hold until April. Winter t...

The awesome thing about working in the hospitality industry is that you get to travel quite a bit and stay at a host of different hotels.
Below you can find some of the most important tips to ensure a smooth experience.
Try to be flexible
Always add 1 or 2 days as a kind of buffer zone when booking a holiday; no one wants or expects anything to go wrong but it does occasionally happen, and most important of all is to be patient!
Learn some common phrases of the local language
You’d be surprised how far a simple “Hello” or “Thank you” can go with the locals.
Always have copies of important documents
Make photocopies o...

Family friendly and peaceful, Protaras is situated along the sandy coastline of Fig Tree Bay. Fig tree bay is voted as the 9th best beach in Europe, with crystal clear waters, amazing water sports activities and beautiful clean sand.

A couple of friends and me decided to spend the weekend in Ayia Napa, we chose to stay at the Limanaki hotel as we had heard good things regarding it.
Check-in was quick and painless, the receptionist found our reservation and within minutes the porter had taken our bags up to our room; as there were 4 of us, we had booked a junior suite, which by the way had amazing views of the harbour and the sea.
The room itself was spacious and airy, with the white walls and wood panelling providing a simple yet beautiful decor.
The food was simple but good if a bit repetitive (the same breakfast was served for our entire weekend stay there). Besides breakfast we di...

I recently had a friend drop by for an unannounced visit to our little island, and decided to finally give in and try this restaurant at the Four Seasons hotel in Limassol; I had read several great reviews.
We decided to go for the Marco Polo lunch buffet on Sunday.
Straight off this looked promising as there was a wide variety of choices, including classic Indian curries, Chinese style pork and chicken dishes, Japanese noodles and sushi as well as classic Cypriot dishes such as kleftiko (slow cooked oven baked lamb).
The actual food was delicious and more importantly fresh. The seasoning was spot on and the cooking temperatures were just perfect, nothing was over o...

I have been to this hotel several times because it is so family friendly. The staff was very friendly and professional; our luggage was promptly taken up to our room. We had arrived late to the hotel which would normally mean that dinner was no longer on, however the staff provided us with some food which was very nice and thoughtful. We stayed in the Executive Pool Room which was very nice during the day, however at night there was a kid’s disco which had loud music that we could hear from our room.
The facilities were overall very nice, including 2 swimming pools, one with a swim up bar and one with a slide. There is also a private beach where you can ...
