The Zenobia was a Swedish cargo ship on her maiden voyage from Sweden to Syria, with several port stops in between, Larnaca being among them. When the ship arrived in Larnaca, the captain noticed that, due to a software error, the ship’s system was pumping excess water into the ballast system, which caused the ship to list to the side. This eventually caused the ship to sink, losing all of its cargo which was estimated at roughly 200 million USD.
